Sophie Smith didn’t believe in his so-called ’quickly’ at all. Whenever he wanted her, didn’t he always leave her feeling completely spent?
If she gave herself to him, they probably wouldn’t leave the room tonight.
She hastily moved away from him, adjusted her dress and her disheveled hair. Her chest was still slightly heaving from his teasing earlier. Seeing this, Asher Land’s eyes couldn’t help but deepen with desire.
"Really, ti is running out, we should head down," Sophie said with a patient smile, pulling the defeated-looking him up from the chair, then buttoned up his half-open silver-gray shirt.
After calming themselves down a bit, the two headed downstairs.
When they reached the hall, they saw two figures deeply entwined on the sofa, with the woman straddling the man in a passionate kiss.
Asher Land pretended to cough a few tis, and only then did the couple on the sofa reel in their passion.
Luke Land, with a sexy blonde woman in his arms, greeted them with half-closed eyes.
"You’re in the wrong place for your heat, aren’t you?" Asher Land said irritably.
"Oh, third brother, you don’t look too good, like you haven’t been ’sated’?" Luke Land glanced at the tidily dressed Sophie Smith again, "Miss Smith, you should have made sure third brother was sated before coming out, otherwise, he’ll be feeling pretty frustrated all night."
"Luke Land, nobody would think you’re mute if you don’t speak."
"Don’t be mad, if Miss Smith won’t sate you, how about I lend you my companion?" Luke Land offered kindly.
"Get lost!"

"Alright, stop bickering here, let’s hurry over," Sophie interjected to ease the tension between the two brothers.
They went together to the main hall of the Land Family, which was already bustling with people.
The beautiful sound of the cello lingered in the air, with warm and splendid lights swirling around. Elegantly dressed n and won were holding their glasses, engaged in light conversation.
Sophie entered the room arm in arm with Asher Land, but then sothing felt off. Instinctively, she let go of his hand.
"What’s wrong?" he asked, looking down at her.
"Let’s keep a little distance..." she spoke cautiously.
"You..." Asher Land was just about to lose his temper, but Irene Morton happened to walk over, forcing him to swallow his words.
Sophie looked at Irene, who was wearing an eye-catching red gown with a deep V back and a long trailing skirt. Her makeup was exquisite and glamorous, making her appear sowhat different from usual.
"Brother Asher," Irene said familiarly, taking Asher Land’s arm, "My dad and Uncle Land are over there, co with to greet them."
"I’ll go over later," Asher replied, trying to remove Irene’s hand from his arm.
"Brother Asher, aren’t you going to give face on my birthday today?" Irene pouted, expressing her displeasure.
He wanted to say sothing, but Irene dragged him in another direction.
Sophie lowered her head, a helpless smile tugging at her lips.
"Hey, don’t be upset," Luke Land said, noticing her silence and thinking she was in a bad mood, "Today, third brother is destined to be Irene’s, how about I keep you company instead?"
"No need, but thank you for the offer, I can manage on my own," Sophie replied, picking up a glass of red wine and heading to a secluded corner.
