The cannon barrels glead with the cold gray sheen unique to steel. The Marine fleet ford a colossal moving fortress upon the sea—ironclad, frigid, exuding a suffocating aura of slaughter.
From the deck, Roldyspotted many familiar faces among the ranks. But their positions had changed. And when positions change, so do allegiances.
There would be no rcy.
"Gahahahaha! I expected this, but the Marines really are giving face! With a fleet this size, you could wipe out a major kingdom!"
There wasn't a trace of fear on Roldi's face. Instead, the blood of a battle maniac boiled in his veins.
Sheen and the other three stood at his sides. The trio who had followed him the longest remained calm. But Moria's pale face looked particularly grim.
"Hey, Mihawk. Give our Marine friends who ca from so far away… a proper welco."
Roldyspoke lightly.
Mihawk gave no reply. He simply placed a hand on the hilt of Yoru, stepped forward, and drew his blade.
In the next instant—
A colossal green slash, towering nearly a thousand ters into the sky, split the sea in two. The ocean parted beneath it as the strike cleaved forward, aid directly at the Marine fleet's flagship.
"What is that?!"
"You've got to be kidding !"
"That's the man worth 1.8 billion Berries?!"
Panic spread across the warships. Such swordsmanship was beyond anything they had ever witnessed. No one doubted the power of that slash.
It could split their battleship in half.
"He's not holding back at all, that brat Roldi!"
Monkey D. Garp loosened the tie at his collar, tossed aside his Marine Headquarters Vice Admiral coat, and rolled up his sleeves.
He bent his knees.
Power surged through his massive fra.
The enormous Marine battleship beneath him visibly tilted.
BOOM!
Garp's legs exploded with overwhelming force. Using the recoil, he launched himself forward like a cannonball. The battleship was pushed back several ters from the sheer reaction force. Marines scrambled across the deck, barely maintaining balance—but all eyes were fixed on the arrow-like figure streaking forward.
In an instant, Garp broke the sound barrier.
And he was still accelerating.
The air shrieked as he tore across the sky parallel to the sea. The shockwave from his body carved a long white trench across the ocean's surface.
"Yo! Long ti no see, Roldi, you brat!"
"Iron Fist!"
His hardened fist shot forward and collided head-on with the thousand-ter slash.
The size difference was absurd—
Yet the green blade shattered instantly beneath Garp's punch.
Mihawk's swordsmanship was extraordinary, but against a true top-tier monster, it still fell short.
Without slowing, Garp charged straight toward the Sabaody Archipelago.
"Long ti no see, Vice Admiral Garp!"
Roldydidn't retreat.
Mirroring Garp's motion, he bent his legs and launched himself forward. Unlike Garp, he kicked off from solid ground—leaving behind a crater a full ter deep.
Two crimson streaks tore across the sea.
They collided.
"Iron Fist: teor!"
"Fist of Love: Star-Shattering Blow!"
Both fists were coated in exceptionally dense Armant Haki.
BOOM!!!
The sea detonated outward. A deafening blast rang across the battlefield, leaving the soldiers aboard the warships montarily deaf. Their faces drained of color.
What kind of monsters were they facing?
"Roldi!"
Standing unmoving amid the chaos was Marine Admiral Sakazuki.
His iron-blooded figure beca a beacon in the eyes of the younger soldiers.
As expected of Admiral Sakazuki.
Calm. Reliable.
An Admiral was truly an Admiral.
Unfathomably powerful.
Then—
A flash of yellow light appeared beside him.
Sakazuki glanced sideways.
The stern composure on his face cracked.
"Borsalino?! What happened to you?"
Even "battered and bruised" felt insufficient to describe his condition.
Borsalino maintained his usual lazy tone, raising both hands in mock surrender.
"Scary, you know… Roldi's gotten a lot stronger. Just one punch from him… I almost died."
Unlike Sakazuki, whose expression grew grave, the young Marines felt their worldview shatter.
Most of them were around twenty—fresh blood from the last Global Marine Recruitnt Drive. They weren't sent here to die; they were ant to be tempered by real war.
But before the battle had truly begun—
Their understanding of power collapsed.
"Looks like this won't be as simple as we thought."
Sakazuki turned his gaze back to the battlefield.
Every clash between Garp and Roldydetonated like artillery. Waves stacked upon waves.
But then—
Sothing felt wrong.
Did Vice Admiral Garp just take another punch?
Impossible.
Had Roldyreached that level?
…Oh.
No.
Garp hadn't taken one punch.
He'd just been hit more than ten tis in succession.
Not completely helpless—
But not far from it.
Sakazuki and Borsalino exchanged a glance. As classmates from the sa training camp, their coordination was flawless.
"Move."
"Roger that."
Blazing magma.
Blinding light.
The two Admirals shot toward Roldyat incredible speed.
Borsalino was faster.
Just as Roldi's fist slamd into Garp's abdon, a light-speed kick struck the back of his head.
In this situation—even Future Sight was useless.
Seeing it was one thing.
Dodging an Admiral while trading blows with Garp—
Over the open sea—
Even for Roldi, that was nearly impossible.
And then—
He felt it.
Danger.
"Great Eruption!"
Sakazuki's magma surged forward. The heat alone justified the title of the most destructive Logia. Great Eruption was one of his signature techniques.
Facing his forr comrade, Roldydidn't know how far Sakazuki had grown.
But if his instincts sensed danger—
Then Sakazuki had improved trendously.
Roldyevaded the magma.
He evaded Garp's follow-up punch.
But then—
Borsalino's retaliatory front kick slamd squarely into his chest.
Roldywas blasted backward, hurtling toward the Sabaody Archipelago.
"Did that work?"
Sakazuki frowned. He felt no satisfaction at the clean hit.
"Wahahaha! What are you thinking? That brat hasn't even gone all out yet!"
Garp laughed loudly, stepping through the air with Geppo (Six Powers) as he pursued Roldytoward Sabaody.
The two Admirals followed.
The Marine fleet was nearly upon the islands.
There was no doubt—
A brutal war was about to erupt on Sabaody Archipelago, Grove 29.
One man—
Against three monsters of the sea.
