Stussy stepped forward and quickly pulled Vegapunk back, her voice low but urgent. "Doctor, we shouldn't get too involved in this."
"Stop it, Sabo," Dragon said at the sa ti, his tone firm. "This island is made of piled-up garbage. The foundation is unstable, it's not a place for a fight."
Kaido lightly tapped the ground with his spiked club, testing it. The surface shifted slightly under the pressure. He let out a rough laugh. "Worororo, looks like this place really can't handle a proper fight."
Seeing the tension ease slightly, Ivankov and Inazuma both let out quiet breaths of relief.
Kaido then raised his club and pointed it directly at Dragon, a wide grin spreading across his face. "Hey, Dragon, let's fight. If you want to form an alliance with us, then prove it with strength."
Dragon's expression hardened. Before he could respond, Kaido continued, his tone filled with disdain. "Your Revolutionary Army has a big na, but all these years, you've only been toppling weak nations. Still, I'm curious about you, the so called World's Most Dangerous Criminal."
"So you insist on fighting ?" Dragon asked, clearly displeased. He preferred reasoning over brute force, but Kaido's aggressive stance left little room for negotiation.
Big Mom let out a loud laugh, her voice dripping with malice. "Mama mama mama, we are pirates. If you want an alliance, you need to show you're worthy."
Sabo clenched his fists at her words, anger rising, but Dragon remained composed. He turned his gaze toward Marco. "Marco, do you think the sa?"
Marco answered calmly, without hesitation. "Yes. Those are our rules as pirates. If you don't like it, you can refuse."
He made no move to intervene further. His stance toward the Revolutionary Army remained neutral. As a pirate, politics was never his strength. The Revolutionary Army operated differently. They had structure, governance, and influence across the world, sothing pirates lacked.
The Phoenix Pirates were built on camaraderie and trust, strengthened by the foundation Whitebeard left behind and Marco's own overwhelming strength.
The Big Mom Pirates relied on blood ties and family.
The Beasts Pirates were driven by raw power and survival of the fittest.
Despite their differences, all pirate crews shared one truth, strength determined everything.
The Revolutionary Army was not the sa. Marco did not fully understand their system, but he knew they operated on beliefs and principles beyond simple power.
Kaido and Big Mom could be controlled through strength alone. If Marco proved superior, they would follow.
The Revolutionary Army was different. Force alone might not be enough.
That was why Marco chose to observe.
Did they truly want a solid alliance, or was this just a test of power?
From his perspective, even if the World Governnt fell, the Revolutionary Army would never accept pirates ruling the world. Conflict between them in the future was inevitable.
Still, for now, they shared a common goal, overthrowing the World Governnt.
An alliance was possible.
But only if the Revolutionary Army submitted, not the other way around.
Dragon's brows furrowed slightly as he processed everything. He understood now that this confrontation could not be avoided. He did not like working with pirates, but without them, defeating the World Governnt would be far more difficult.
"Alright," Dragon said at last. "If you want to settle this with strength, then so be it. But if I win, what happens?"
"Worororo, you think you can?" Kaido laughed, clearly unconvinced. In his mind, only Marco stood above him. Even against the Gorosei, he believed he could win in a one on one fight.
Dragon's gaze remained steady, emotionless. "If I win, it proves the strength of the Revolutionary Army. It also proves we are qualified to stand as equals in this alliance. And in the future war against the World Governnt, Dr. Vegapunk will act as the supre commander."
Vegapunk imdiately panicked. "Hey, don't decide that on your own! I don't want to be any supre commander. I'm just a scientist."
Kaido grinned. "Worororo, why not take the role yourself, Dragon? Don't you want it?"
Dragon gave no answer.
Marco stepped forward at that mont, his voice cutting through the tension. "Agreed. But I'll be the one fighting you."
He stopped a short distance away from Dragon, his presence steady and confident. "If I win, the Revolutionary Army follows my command."
He paused briefly before adding, "I won't send you on aningless deaths."
Dragon's expression tightened slightly. Marco's bounty alone, 7.5 billion Berries, was enough to make anyone cautious. A bounty that high was not given without reason.
Kaido imdiately frowned, irritation clear on his face. "Hey, Marco, why are you taking my fight? You think I'd lose to him?"
Marco turned his head slightly, his tone calm but firm. "The chance is low, but not zero. It's better to be certain. Besides, as the leader of the Three Emperors Alliance, this responsibility falls to ."
Kaido snorted but did not argue further.
Dragon studied Marco carefully. The confidence in his posture, combined with that staggering bounty, made him hesitate. If he lost, the Revolutionary Army would fall under pirate command, sothing he could never accept.
Ivankov stepped forward, breaking the silence. "Isn't this too reckless? Deciding sothing this important so casually?"
Kaido's grin widened once more. "Worororo, that's how pirates do things. Strength decides everything. The one with the strongest fist leads."
