Having left Jim Jones’s house, Fluffy Zane declined Mrs. Jones’s offer to have a driver take her ho and decided to drive aimlessly.
Unintentionally, she arrived at the entrance of the Golden Wing Palace.
Looking at the glittering Golden Wing Palace and the bustling gate, she hesitated.
Should she go in? What if William Guillen was not there? Should she not go in? Why was she looking for him anyway? Wasn’t she still mad at him?
After a while, she sighed and prepared to leave.
"Young Master Guillen, where are we going tonight?"
A charming voice, barely audible, ca through the car window.
Fluffy Zane’s body stiffened as she looked in the rearview mirror, where a man and a woman were walking towards her.
The woman had a curvy figure and hung onto Guillen as if she were a koala, her body practically draped over his.
Guillen was impeccably dressed in a high-quality white shirt, black trousers, and Italian handmade leather shoes. His attire perfectly complented his gentle deanor.
Guillen’s gaze fell upon the license plate, and with a single glance, he knew the car belonged to Fluffy Zane.
What was she doing at the Golden Wing Palace? he thought.
Guillen patted the woman clinging to his arm. "Let go."
"Young Master Guillen..." the woman feigned annoyance, unwilling to let go.
Guillen smiled warmly. "I’ll say it again, let go."
His tone was casual, as if discussing the lovely weather, but the intimidating force emanating from his eyes was chilling. It felt like a centipede crawling up her back, sending shivers and chills through her body.
Instinctively, the woman dared not act spoiled anymore, nor did she dare to lean on Guillen any further. She obediently released her grip.
Just as Fluffy Zane was about to drive off—
KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK.
Soone knocked on her car window.
Her body stiffened, her hand gripping the steering wheel unconsciously tightening. She stared blankly ahead.
What did he want? Didn’t he already have a female companion? Why was he knocking on her window again?
Various doubts flashed through her mind as Guillen, standing outside the car door, was running out of patience. He knocked again, harder this ti, and called out in a low voice, "Fluffy!"
Fluffy Zane knew there was no escape for her.
She took a deep breath, lowered the car window, and without looking at him, stared straight ahead, "Do you need anything?"
Guillen reached in, unlocked the door, and pulled it open, one hand on the roof of the car, the other on the door. "Why are you at the Golden Wing Palace?"
"Can’t I co for a gamble?"
"You know how?" Guillen chuckled. "Get out, I’ll take you in and play a few hands."
Fluffy Zane remained seated, so he added with a nonchalant tone, "I promise you’ll win."
Fluffy Zane really wanted to reject him firmly, but...
But... ultimately, he was the man she loved. How could she refuse him? How could she possibly reject him?
And so, under a mixture of pressure and persuasion, Fluffy Zane was pulled out of the car by Guillen. He took the car keys and handed them to a nearby parking attendant.
Guillen led her towards the Golden Wing Palace, while the female companion, left standing in place, stomped her foot in jealousy but did not dare to step forward.
The manager of the Golden Wing Palace learned that Young Master Guillen had arrived. He personally greeted him, intending to take him to the VIP hall.
But Guillen dismissed the offer with a wave of his hand. "I’m not here to play. She wants to try a couple of hands."
Then, he led Fluffy Zane to the main hall.
"Which one do you want to play?" Guillen looked sideways at the unusually silent Fluffy Zane that night.
It was as if she had changed into a completely different person. In the past, she was the one who initiated conversations. He only needed to casually respond a few tis. Tonight, her silence was almost eerie.
