He stood not far away, his voice lowered. "Young Master, there’s news."
Thomas Shannon raised his hand and gently patted Sophie Sullivan’s back. "Let go. I have matters to handle."
"I won’t," Sophie Sullivan mumbled, refusing to cooperate.
"I’ll count to three. If you don’t let go by then, I’ll have to take you right here."
The mont he finished speaking, Sophie Sullivan instantly recoiled, putting distance between them.
Thomas Shannon was speechless.
He raised his hand and rubbed his chin. The spot where she had bitten him was still slightly damp.
"Stay put. I’ll co for you later." With these words, Thomas Shannon walked towards Charlie River.
He didn’t have him report imdiately but instead led him further away, ensuring Sophie Sullivan couldn’t hear, before signaling Charlie River to speak.
"Young Master, I’ve just received news that soone is investigating the maniac."
"Still investigating?"
Thomas Shannon looked at Sophie Sullivan in the distance. This woman he had found was his. No matter who ca looking, they wouldn’t be able to take her from him.
Charlie River hesitated, wanting to speak but stopping short. Thomas Shannon frowned. "Stop beating around the bush. Speak."
"Young Master, the situation is a bit special this ti. Those people are not only investigating the maniac but are also tracking your whereabouts. I suspect they’ve guessed that you’re harboring her."
Thomas Shannon lit a cigarette, took a deep drag, and exhaled the smoke before asking coldly, "Find out who those people are."
Perhaps this investigation would also allow him to uncover Sophie Sullivan’s true identity. What was the relationship between these people and Sophie herself? Were they friends or foes?

Charlie River imdiately gave orders to investigate.

William Guillen received a call from Thomas Shannon. He lifted his eyelids and glanced at Fluffy Zane, who was sitting on the sofa opposite him.

Fluffy Zane didn’t dare to think any further. Her gaze grew panicked, and she quickly looked away, struggling to keep her voice steady. "Sophie Sullivan? I don’t think I know anyone by that na."
William Guillen chuckled. He stood up, walked over to Fluffy Zane, leaned down, and gripped her chin with one hand, forcing her to look up at him.
"Fluffy, look at ," he said.
"What are you trying to do?" she asked.
William Guillen smiled. "Repeat what you just said, looking into my eyes."
"William Guillen, stop ssing around."
"Fluffy, you’re a terrible liar. Look at you, your ears are bright red."
William Guillen’s eyes darkened as he stared directly into her panicked ones. "You don’t need to hide Sophie Sullivan’s identity anymore. Thomas already knows the maniac is Sophie Sullivan. Even if you wanted to conceal it, you couldn’t."
Fluffy Zane pressed her lips together, remaining silent. How could Thomas Shannon know Sophie Sullivan’s na? Could it be... he had discovered her past?
