Perhaps it was because of who she ate breakfast with that Fluffy Zane found the al so satisfying.
As William Guillen said he would, after breakfast, he reminded her to get so good rest and then left for his company.
Sophie Sullivan slept until she naturally woke up, by which ti the man beside her was already gone.
She sat up, stretched lazily, and Gaby, lying by the bedside, let out a HOWL.
"Good morning, Gaby."
After giving Gaby’s big head a rub, Sophie Sullivan lifted the silk quilt and got out of bed.
After washing up, she took Gaby downstairs to have breakfast.
As soon as she opened the bedroom door, she saw the maidservant and the man in black waiting outside.
"Maniac, where are you going?"
Sophie Sullivan held the door handle with one hand, her eyebrows furrowed slightly. "Is there a problem?"
What’s going on? Aren’t they going to let out?
"Breakfast is ready, and we’ll bring it up for you right away."
The servant said, turning to go downstairs, but Sophie Sullivan stopped her. "I’ll go downstairs to eat by myself; no need to bring it up."
Seeing her about to go downstairs, the man in black stepped forward and blocked her path. "Young Master has ordered that you stay in your room for today."
"Why?" Sophie Sullivan asked coldly, looking at the man in black.
Why would Thomas Shannon keep in my bedroom?
Everything was perfectly fine last night, so why confine this morning?
"Young Master is receiving an honored guest, and you cannot go down."
"What kind of honored guest? So important that I have to stay in my room?"
She’d really like to see just what kind of VIP made Thomas Shannon co to such a decision.
It really made her want to... beat him up!
Last night’s sweet talk seed like a passing cloud, counting for nothing at all.
"Sorry, we cannot tell you." The man in black said with no expression, looking completely uncommunicative.
Sophie Sullivan sneered. "If you don’t tell , does that an I have to force my way through?"
She lowered her head and looked at Gaby beside her. Sensing her intention, the man in black quickly pulled out his pistol. "Maniac, don’t make things difficult for us. Otherwise, we can’t guarantee there won’t be an accidental discharge."
Sophie Sullivan stared coldly at him, then her lips curved into a slight smile. She took a step back and slamd the door shut.
She went out on the balcony and saw a fleet of black Rolls-Royce cars parked in front of the castle.
There were more n in black than usual, standing in an orderly manner by the car doors.
Sophie Sullivan narrowed her eyes. Just what kind of honored guest could make Thomas Shannon so attentive?
「The opulent main hall.」
Thomas Shannon lounged on the sofa with his long legs crossed, holding Harry in his lap, idly stroking its furry head with one hand.
"I’ve said so much, have you even heard ?" Jas Shannon paused, then lifted his teacup and took a sip.
From a mont ago until now, after calling out "Father" once, he hadn’t uttered another word.
Jas Shannon couldn’t quite fathom what this son of his was thinking.
Thomas Shannon lifted his eyelids slightly and replied indifferently, "I heard."
"So, can you put those suspicions of yours to rest now?"
Thomas Shannon chuckled lightly, finally looking his fuming father squarely in the eye. "Father, whether or not Frank Mitchell is related to you isn’t for you to say."
Jas Shannon sipped his tea, his long, narrow eyes narrowing slightly. "Then who do you think has the say?"
"Charlie River, go pluck two of his hairs."
Charlie River, whose na was called, shuddered all over. Young Master, I wouldn’t dare!
Jas Shannon angrily slamd the teacup on the tea table. "Nonsense!"
"Embarrassed into anger?" Thomas Shannon asked, still with a nonchalant air, as if he was utterly convinced that Frank Mitchell was related to him.
