Kyra’s POV
"Daddy!" Snow scread as a wild wave ruined the sand castle they were making.
Nathan laughed heartily and scooped up our little Snow, who was frowning so deeply her tiny brows nearly touched.
"Daddy, the waves are an!" she protested, clutching his strong shoulders.
Nathan chuckled and set her down, away from the shore. "Let’s build the castle here instead."
"But we already started!" Snow pouted adorably.
"Let’s just do it again. Bigger this ti." His voice was gentle yet firm, the voice of an Alpha who knew how to guide even the youngest pack mber.
"Really?" Snow’s eyes lit up with excitent as she sat on the sand.
My smile couldn’t be wiped away as I watched them.
I felt Sylvia purring with contentnt at the sight of our mate and pup together. I was sitting on the sun lounger when soone dropped onto the one beside .
"Hey!" I smiled at Emily.
She sighed dramatically and lay back on the sun lounger, looking thoroughly annoyed.
I chuckled. "He called again?"
She lifted her sunglasses just to show how she rolled her eyes, making laugh again.
"God, Kyra! Your cousin is so persistent. He called five tis today. I’m so annoyed! Thank God we’re not from the sa pack, or he’d be mind-linking every ti a thought popped into his head. My brain would literally explode!"
I laughed. "Trust , even being in the sa room with him is exhausting. At least with mind-linking, you could just block him out. Try having him actually follow you around all day!"
She didn’t bother to lower her voice. "How co he couldn’t forget the night we spent together? Was he a virgin when we fucked?"
I bit my bottom lip as an old couple walked in front of us, looking at us with disgust.
"Calm down, Emily."
"How can I calm down? This morning he said he would make sure I can never forget his touch, and just now, he threatened to tell you what I’m planning behind your back if I don’t et him tonight."
I burst out laughing. "Really?"
She frowned. "He graduated with Latin honors and he’s a psychologist, but he’s plain stupid."
She had him investigated. Interesting.
"I’m telling you, I’m gonna play with your cousin until he loses his mind. Don’t hate for that, Kyra."
I smirked. "Not a problem for ." I knew Emily could handle herself; she was one of the strongest she-wolves I’d ever t, despite not being born into a prominent pack.
I looked at Nathan and Snow again, but my eyebrow automatically shot up when I saw a woman in a bikini trying to strike up a conversation with Nathan. Her body language scread interest—shoulders back, chest forward, head tilted to expose her neck.
Ha! I shouldn’t have allowed him to take his shirt off, showcasing his ripped abs. Damn!

I held my coffee mug tight and stared at the ocean.
I slled Nathan’s minty scent before his arms went around my waist. His lips touched my neck.
"Why are you still here?" His voice was deep.
Nathan stood next to , his eyes studying my face so intensely it made my heart beat fast. His fingers touched my cheek and pushed my hair back.
"Just getting so fresh air," I said.
He looked at the sea and put his arm on the railing next to mine. The night sky was full of stars above us. Below, the waves hit the shore.
"What do you think about a house on a beach?" Nathan asked, breaking the quiet. My heart raced. It had been too long since we talked like this.
"It’s nice," I answered honestly. "Relaxing and beautiful." The kind of place where a pack could thrive, where pups could run free between the forest and the sea.
Nathan turned to face fully, taking my hands in his. He set my mug aside and moved closer, his Alpha presence overwhelming my senses.
"I want to marry you again, Kyra. I want it so bad..." His voice sounded vulnerable.
I bit my bottom lip, searching those honest eyes that had once promised forever. The sa eyes that had looked away when his fated mate returned. Now they held sincerity again, and despite everything, my treacherous heart yearned to believe him.
"Do you want to marry again, Kyra?" he asked. "Is it okay if I beco part of yours and Snow’s life? Is it okay if I hold your hand while you’re delivering our baby? Is it okay if I stay by your side until we’re old and gray?"
Tears ford in the corners of my eyes. Sotis fate is just that cruel, tying two people together so tightly that separation feels like being torn apart. I used to want the kind of love that wouldn’t make lose myself, but my love for this man has always been like this, making fall completely into it... but every mont of pain is worth it.
He kissed my hands softly, then touched my empty ring finger where my wedding ring used to be. "I want to put another wedding ring on your finger. I want you to be Luna Kyra again. I want to be part of your life and our baby’s life... Let ..."
A tear rolled down my cheek as I laughed to hide how emotional I felt. "Are you proposing? You need a ring for that."
He laughed and shook his head. "I don’t want to rush you into a decision. I have a ring, but I don’t want to pressure you. We’ll take this slow."
I nodded, grateful he understood. "Thank you, Nathan."
"But I’m your boyfriend now, right?" He sounded almost like a nervous boy, so different from his usual confident self.
"Yes..." I whispered, feeling satisfied with even this small step.
He moved closer and kissed my cheek softly. I closed my eyes as his lips brushed my nose, my eyelids, then back to my cheek before finally kissing my mouth.
His kisses were gentle at first, soft and sweet. But I was impatient, so I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him deeper.
Sensing what I needed, Nathan lifted easily. Our kisses beca desperate, months of being apart fueling our passion.
That night in our hotel room, we were completely together. He was careful with because of the baby. His touches were gentle, his words soft as we reconnected through more than just physical closeness.
It was one of the most perfect nights since we separated. I was finally at peace, content beside him. I never expected it to end when Ana burst into our room the next morning, her panicked cries destroying our happiness.
"KYRA! KYRA!"
I had to run to the door even though I was naked under the sheets.
Ana sounded desperate. I opened the door and saw Ana with tears on her face, her eyes red and swollen.
"Ana! What’s wrong?" I asked as Nathan ca up behind .
Ana was crying hard. "I-I’m sorry. We were just playing in the pool because Snow wanted to and then she—"
"She what?!" I panicked as Nathan tensed up beside . We were both scared.
"S-She tripped and hit her head..."
The words hit like a punch, and I couldn’t move. Tears ca instantly as my hands and lips shook. I felt desperate to get to my daughter right away.
Nathan had to help get dressed because I couldn’t function from the shock. He held my hand tight as we rushed to where they were treating our daughter. What I saw almost broke —Snow being moved from the resort clinic to an ambulance, looking so small and fragile on the stretcher.
"Oh my God! No, please! Not my daughter!"
