If it weren’t for waiting for Easton Hols to return from his walk, Evelyn Taylor would have already bid farewell and left. She didn’t want to waste ti chatting with Callix Linton here, and today’s chat had made her very angry.

Callix Linton was so resolutely supportive of Easton Hols and Lily Turner being together that Evelyn Taylor was beyond anxious. Over the years, she had seen clearly that Easton Hols held great respect for Callix Linton.
If Callix Linton was steadfastly on Lily Turner’s side, her chances were getting very slim, and that wasn’t the outco she wanted to see.
"Child! It’s not Easton who is blinded by love; it’s your heart that’s blinded by jealousy." Callix Linton unceremoniously and accurately pointed out the crux of the problem. He didn’t want Evelyn Taylor to do anything irrational.
Such actions would not only hurt others but could also hurt herself, and he believed nobody wished to see a lose-lose situation.
Evelyn Taylor didn’t agree with Callix Linton’s statent from the bottom of her heart and blurted out, "Grandpa! It’s not that I’m jealous of Lily Turner; it’s that she’s two-faced. You’re all deceived by the image she puts on."
Because her emotions were quite intense, her cheeks turned red as she spoke.
"Child! Please don’t be so agitated. Calm down and then speak, okay?" As an older person, Callix Linton was very capable of staying calm. He saw things very clearly and knew that arguing with Evelyn Taylor at this mont would only make things more rigid.
Compared to Evelyn Taylor’s agitation, Callix Linton seed much more stable and composed, and his face even wore a kind and gentle smile, all in an effort to calm her down.
