Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap Chapter 27: Don’t Just Say You Know It With Words
Lily Turner blurted out, "Of course it's morning."
She had just woken up not long ago and hadn't had a chance to check the ti, groggily thinking it was early morning, unaware that it was already 10:45 AM.
"Morning?!" Alice Turner exclaid, "Lily! Are you okay?"
Her little sister didn't even know what ti it was now; that jerk really ssed her up.
"Isn't it morning still?" Lily Turner furrowed her brows in confusion, brought the phone from her ear to her eyes, and saw it was already past ten. Only then did she understand why Alice was so surprised.
"I just woke up and thought it was morning." Trying to sound casual, Lily Turner spoke lightly to avoid letting Alice notice her abnormality.
Alice was not convinced by Lily's words because she could tell from Lily's voice that she didn't sound like she had just woken up, but she didn't voice her doubts, "Where are you now?"
"Of course I'm at the hotel."
As Lily Turner spoke, her free hand picked up the clothes lying on the bed, as if Alice could see her; she grabbed the clothes and strode out of the room.
Once out of the room, she turned her head to look around the house. Not seeing that tall figure, she finally breathed a sigh of relief and left the place with her coat.
Alice didn't doubt this at all, asking, "Have you eaten?"
"Not yet, but I'm just about to call for delivery." Before Alice could criticize her, Lily Turner preemptively spoke up, hoping her sister wouldn't worry and admonish her further.
During this gap, she had already reached the elevator, reaching out to press the down button.
Her hopes were pleasant, but the outco was disappointing.
Alice and Lily grew up together; how could Alice not understand Lily's little tricks? She imdiately understood Lily's aning, but chose to ignore it directly.
"Are you about to order breakfast or lunch? Breakfast is a bit late, but lunch is too early. What al are you eating exactly?" She paused and continued, "Lily! Can you pull yourself together? Are you waiting for that jerk to laugh at you?"
Alice didn't need to think hard to know Lily's unusual state was because of Henry Thompson, which made her both furious and anxious.
Hearing her sister ntion that jerk again, Lily felt particularly uneasy, worried that her sister might pick up on sothing, so she tried to calm her emotions, "Sis, I know. From now on, I'll take good care of myself, so please don't worry about anymore."
The reprimand was filled with deep concern; how could she not understand? This was why she didn't want her sister to know the truth initially; she just didn't want her sister to constantly worry about her.
"Don't just say you know it; show it in action. Don't let that jerk laugh at you." Even though Lily said she understood, Alice still couldn't help but stress the point, hoping Lily could get out of the quagmire as soon as possible.
