Lily Turner tilted her head and leaned against Easton Hols, avoiding his sowhat intense gaze. She paused for a while before slowly opening her mouth, "The first ti I took the dicine, your mom and Sister Gui were there to force . The second ti, your mom ordered over the phone and Sister Gui supervised on-site. The third ti, my grandpa happened to co across it, and to protect , he brought here."
Recalling the scene from the first ti she took the dicine, she couldn’t help but sigh.
"In the future, tell first if anything happens." Easton Hols tightened his arms around Lily, holding her closer. He had thought there was only one incident; he hadn’t realized she had been coerced three tis.
Lily nodded and reached out to hug Easton back. "Actually, your mom did that for your own good, so don’t be angry with her anymore. On the surface, I do appear to be a woman of sowhat indiscreet personal life."
Her own mother and the man she’d been with for quite so ti thought of her that way, not to ntion those who didn’t know her well.
"Shallow!"
Easton Hols responded simply with two words, but they were enough to clearly express his view on the matter.
Upon hearing this, Lily suddenly lifted her head, blinking her big eyes at Easton. She didn’t seem inclined to speak for a long while.
"Why are you looking at like that? Am I wrong?" Feeling a bit uneasy under Lily’s silent gaze, Easton waved his hand in front of her eyes.
A shadow flashed before her eyes, and Lily suddenly snapped back to reality. Only then did she realize she had been staring blankly at Easton.
"Thank you for understanding!"
Besides her sister, Alice Turner, he was the second person to understand her, and she was very grateful to him.
Grateful that he, unlike those shallow people, didn’t just see the surface without caring about the true nature of things.
"You don’t need to thank . Just rember to be more mindful in the future and don’t let others lead you by the nose." Easton pinched Lily’s nose gently, intentionally softening his touch.
"Got it."
Uncharacteristically, Lily didn’t refute Easton’s words and actions. Instead, she obediently accepted his suggestion. She removed his hand from pinching her nose, paused, and said, "Then you shouldn’t get angry with Auntie because of either. I can understand why she did what she did."
At first, she was also angry with his mother’s actions, but after calming down, she realized that his mother had good intentions for him, and she could see that.
She envied him from the bottom of her heart, envied him for having a mother who cared so much.
"Let’s not talk about these unhappy things." Easton decided to drop the topic with Lily. At this mont, he suddenly rembered what Callix Linton had said earlier, and he pulled her to walk inside, "Didn’t you want to learn self-defense? I’ll teach you now."
He ought to teach her so self-defense skills so that if she ever encountered soone with ill intentions, she wouldn’t be scared out of her wits.
Earlier downstairs, Lily had only said that to coordinate with Callix, but she hadn’t expected Easton to take it seriously. While surprised, she also felt a bit delighted.
"You’re really going to teach ? I’m quite clumsy as a student, so don’t think I’m too awkward." She wasn’t deliberately belittling herself; physical tasks indeed weren’t her strong point.
"I don’t find you clumsy at all."
Easton tilted his head to glance at Lily, his lips curling into a barely noticeable smile.
