Although she was reluctant in her heart, for the sake of the baby in her belly, Lily Turner did not impulsively snatch Easton Hols’ phone. Instead, she took the initiative to give him Alice Turner’s account information and let him handle the matter.
"Call Grandpa after the money is transferred."
Earlier, when leaving ho, she thought she’d be back soon, but who could’ve guessed such a situation would occur.
Having been away for so long, Lily Turner figured Callix Linton must be anxiously waiting. After all, she had said she was just going for a walk when she left ho.
Lily Turner didn’t know that after she and Alice Turner left the Turner Family ho, Callix Linton had already called Easton Hols. At that ti, he had just left and was on his way ho.
He had just finished his call with Callix Linton when Alice Turner called him. The timing of the calls overlapped perfectly.
"I’ve already called Grandpa." He held the phone in one hand and supported her with the other, "You just need to lie down and rest. You don’t need to worry about these things."
After saying that, he helped her to lie down on the bed.
"I can’t help it; I’m just born to worry." Lily Turner glanced at Easton Hols, turned over, and lay with her back to him, giving him a sowhat dissatisfied view.
Sigh!
Sighing softly at that back, Easton Hols picked up the phone again and continued with the unfinished task of transferring funds.
After the transfer was completed, he didn’t put the phone away imdiately but held it up in front of her eyes to let her see the transfer record, "Now you can peacefully close your eyes and sleep."
Once she confird she had seen it, he quickly took the phone away from her sight.
"Isn’t it too early for to sleep now?"
Lily Turner turned over to face Easton Hols, her eyes wide open and alert. She wasn’t sleepy at all.
Easton Hols leaned over to place the phone on the bedside cabinet. Just when he was about to lie down, Lily Turner suddenly pointed at the wontons placed on the cabinet, "The wontons my sister bought for you are there, hurry up and eat them before they get cold."
Saying this, she propped herself up on the bed with both hands and sat up.
"You lie down, I’ll eat by myself."
Easton Hols reached out, wanting to help Lily Turner lie back down, but his outstretched hand was pushed away by her. He shook his head helplessly, "You really do worry too much. Your self-assessnt is spot on, that you’re naturally born to worry."
He got up and walked to the end of the bed, bending to raise the bedhead, letting her sit more comfortably.
"Aren’t you just like , a worrier!"
Lily Turner glanced at Easton Hols, who was walking over from the foot of the bed. At this mont, her lips curled slightly, and her eyes gleaming with laughter.
Easton Hols, with sharp eyes, noticed all this and couldn’t help but curl his lips, "Exactly! Both of us are born worriers, that’s why we’re such a good match."
As he walked over, he reached out and touched her cheek.
"Stop dawdling with and hurry up to eat."
This sudden intimate gesture brought a flush of shyness to Lily Turner. She removed the large hand from her cheek, and as she did so, she slightly pushed its owner.
"Got it, worrying woman!"
While Lily Turner wasn’t paying attention, Easton Hols quickly pinched her cheek, then swiftly distanced himself from her, pretending to focus seriously on carrying the bowl of wontons from the cabinet.
Lily Turner was so exasperated that she gritted her teeth, but thinking of how the man had been running around on an empty stomach for her earlier, she quickly replaced her angry expression with one of gratitude.
Creek!
At this mont, the sound of the door opening suddenly ca from the doorway.
Hearing the commotion at the door, Lily Turner and Easton Hols both turned their heads simultaneously to look over.
