Easton Hols’s concession let Callix Linton’s anger subside a little, but he was still very, very angry.
He almost wanted to rush to Alia Linton and slap her hard twice, to ask her if she was still a mother.
But thinking of the matter for tomorrow night, he temporarily swallowed his rage and decided to confront her properly after everything was settled.
His daughter needed a lesson; otherwise, she wouldn’t know she still had a father.
Callix Linton took a deep breath to calm his emotions. The most important matter right now wasn’t to be angry with that disappointing daughter, but the marriage of his beloved grandson.
"Tomorrow I’ll ask Aunt Li to buy so things. It’s the first official visit; it shouldn’t be careless." Once calm, Callix Linton started planning for tomorrow’s occasion. As the senior of the family, he should be prepared.
"I’ll prepare the things myself, no need to trouble Aunt Li." Easton Hols declined Callix Linton’s offer; it wasn’t that he didn’t trust Aunt Li, but he didn’t want to bother too many people.
Callix Linton did not insist on his suggestion being accepted by Easton Hols, nodding in agreent to proceed as Easton proposed, "That’s fine too. Discuss with Lily to see what items would be appropriate. She knows her parents well and understands what they like."
As soone with experience, Mr. Linton considered things more comprehensively.
"Grandfather! Uncle! Let’s not tell Lily about our visit to the Turner Family tomorrow. I want to inform her only after everything is settled." Callix Linton and Michael Linton weren’t clear about the situation, but Easton Hols understood; he couldn’t let Lily Turner know about this. If she found out, she would surely worry, and her current health couldn’t bear too much concern.
Although they didn’t know exactly what happened, Callix Linton and Michael Linton understood that Alia Linton’s disturbance at the Turner family must have led to Lily Turner being blad by her parents, and in severe cases, even scolded, or perhaps sothing more serious than a scolding occurred.
Thinking of this, Callix Linton suddenly recalled the incident from yesterday. If he wasn’t mistaken, yesterday, Lily Turner must have had a scare related to this matter.
"We won’t tell Lily; just go ahead with your plan." Callix Linton didn’t ask why, nor did he inquire about the reason for Lily’s stress during pregnancy. He knew Easton Hols was already under a lot of pressure and couldn’t add more worries and stress to his grandson-in-law.
Michael Linton moved to sit beside Easton Hols, raised his hand, and patted his back, "Uncle will do everything possible to handle this with you."
He decided not to voice those worriso words, as speaking them would only add to the troubles. His priority was to settle this matter to relieve the worries of his old father and nephew.
"Mm!"
Easton Hols rely nodded with a sound, without uttering a thank you to Michael Linton. The words "thank you" felt too formal between them; there was no need for insincere politeness between uncle and nephew.
With his son’s full support, Callix Linton felt relieved and more at ease, letting out a long breath, and the tension on his face gradually softened.
"Grandfather! Uncle! I’m heading upstairs now."
"Go ahead."
"Mm!"
As Easton Hols spoke, he was already standing up. After receiving responses from Michael Linton and Callix Linton, he took steps to leave the living room, headed straight to the upstairs bedroom.
Buzz, buzz, buzz!
Nearing the bedroom door, the phone in his pocket started buzzing.
