Easton Hols took his phone out of his pocket. When he saw that it was Alice Turner’s call, he didn’t pick up imdiately but instead walked briskly into the bedroom.
At the sa ti, Lily Turner was lying in bed watching TV. Hearing so noise at the door, she instinctively turned her head towards the bedroom door. Seeing that it was Easton Hols who had returned, she turned over and sat up.
"Why didn’t you chat with Grandpa and Uncle longer?" She thought he would chat for a long ti but didn’t expect him to co up so quickly.
"Your sister called you."
As Easton approached the bedside, he handed the phone to Lily Turner. Upon seeing that it was her sister calling, he imdiately thought that her sister must be looking for her.
Only then did she notice that his phone was ringing. She reached out to take the phone he handed over and glanced at the screen. Sure enough, it was her sister’s number.
"Sis!"
Seeing it was her sister calling, she quickly picked up.
"You’re discharged?"
Alice Turner had slept off her hangover at ho in the afternoon. Seeing it was still early, she cooked so light porridge for Lily Turner. But when she took a taxi to the hospital, she didn’t find her sister in the ward.
Only after asking the nurse on duty did she learn that her sister had been discharged and gone ho in the afternoon.
Hearing Alice’s question, Lily Turner raised her hand and slapped her forehead, "Oh no! I forgot to tell you. Did you go to the hospital?"
If her sister was asking like this, she must have gone to the hospital.
"Yeah."
Alice Turner just softly affird, refraining from ntioning the porridge she had brought to the hospital.
Lily Turner smiled apologetically into the phone, "Sis! You’ve had a hard ti. Sorry to make you go to the hospital for nothing. I’ll treat you to a big al tomorrow."
She hadn’t had a good chat with her sister for a long ti, and now seed like a perfect opportunity. She wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to share her thoughts with her sister.
"Treat to a al? Sure!"
Alice readily agreed because she too had the sa feelings. She really wanted to have a heart-to-heart talk with her sister.
She originally thought they could have a nice chat yesterday. Who knew that an unexpected situation would disrupt her wonderful plans.
With her sister’s agreent, Lily was very happy, "I’ll co to your place tomorrow evening."
She wasn’t aware that her sister had taken two days off. Her sister certainly wouldn’t have ti during the day, only in the evening after work.
She had her own plan in mind: after dinner, she wanted to have a long overnight chat with her sister.
"Okay! I’ll wait for you at ho tomorrow night."
Just as Alice finished speaking, she rembered she had an appointnt with Benjamin Shaw to visit his family tomorrow night. She hurriedly added, "No, I can’t! I have sothing tomorrow night, can we et during the day? I have the day off tomorrow."
She already postponed plans today, and couldn’t find another excuse for tomorrow. Otherwise, her mother-in-law might take issue with it.
Hearing what Alice said, Lily imdiately recalled that her sister had taken ti off to take care of her, "Alright, I’ll co find you tomorrow morning, and we can cook at ho together."
Since there was no ti in the evening, she had to change her plans last minute.
"I’ll co pick you up tomorrow, so Easton doesn’t have to be bothered sending you over." Given the current special circumstances, her family wouldn’t be at ease with her driving herself. Alice voluntarily took on the task of picking her up and dropping her off.
Lily didn’t give it a second thought and declined imdiately, "I don’t need any of you to pick up, I can take a taxi by myself."
