Lily Turner decided she would take a taxi to et Alice Turner, but this not only provoked Alice’s opposition but also Easton Hols’. Both of them voiced their opposition almost simultaneously.
"No way!"
"How could that be okay?"
Although both refused almost at the sa ti, the tone of their voices was completely different.
Easton Hols spoke in a domineering and forceful manner, with a decisive and firm attitude, and his words were concise and clear.
Compared to him by her side, Alice Turner on the phone sounded much softer, and her tone and attitude were not forceful at all.
Even though she was opposing her younger sister’s proposal, her tone made it sound more like she was discussing it with her sister.
Faced with their opposition, Lily Turner knew that further argunt would be futile. Glancing at Easton Hols, who was sitting next to her, she said to Alice Turner on the phone, "Alright, let’s do it your way."
Given her current situation, it was better to just be obedient, otherwise, if sothing happened, they would be worried, and she would certainly feel bad about it too.
"What ti should I co to pick you up tomorrow?"
Alice Turner didn’t make a unilateral decision about the pickup ti; instead, she asked for Lily Turner’s opinion.
"Nine-thirty. I’ll wait for you at the community gate then." After agreeing on the eting ti and place with Alice, Lily then shared the ho landline number with her, just in case there was an ergency and they needed to get in touch.
"Sis! You rember the phone number, right? If anything cos up, just call on this number."
Not having a phone was really inconvenient. When he was ho, it was fine, but if he wasn’t, it was very inconvenient for her.
Alice Turner nodded and replied, "I saved it on my phone."
During this ti, she also found it inconvenient. Sotis, when she wanted to call Easton Hols to find Lily Turner, she’d hesitate repeatedly before finally making the call.
"Sis! Is your head okay now?"
After arranging the eting for tomorrow, Lily Turner expressed her concern about her sister’s head. Anyway, every ti after drinking, she would have a headache, sotis taking two to three days to fully relieve.
Her sister had just drunk at noon, so her head must be uncomfortable now. Thinking about her sister coming to visit her in such a state, she felt that she intentionally didn’t want her to go.
Initially, Alice Turner didn’t understand why Lily was suddenly concerned about her head and asked in confusion, "What’s wrong with my head? My head is fine."
As she asked, she raised her hand to touch her head; her head really felt okay.
"That’s good to hear."
Lily Turner couldn’t see Alice on the other end of the phone, and she didn’t realize that Alice hadn’t understood what she ant. Hearing Alice say her head was fine, she breathed a sigh of relief.
Upon hearing this, Alice beca even more puzzled. Just as she was about to voice her confusion, the beeping sound suddenly interrupted her.
"Lily! I have to go; soone else is calling ." Having arranged the details for tomorrow with her sister, she felt there was no need to say more for now. After all, they could chat all they wanted when they t the next day.
"Okay! Bye!"
"Bye!"
After exchanging goodbyes, Alice Turner hung up first, then pulled the phone away from her ear to look at it. When she saw that it was Benjamin Shaw calling, her beautiful brow furrowed instantly.
