Because of Theodore’s ssage, Easton had already put Fabian Hols and Alia Linton’s numbers on the blocked list; his phone automatically intercepted calls from Fabian Hols.
Due to that ssage, Easton felt a tightness in his chest, unable to sleep at all. Worrying about disturbing Lily Turner in her sleep, he lay on the sofa so distance from the bed instead of lying on it.
Ring ring! Ring...
The phone placed on the cabinet next to the sofa suddenly rang. Easton imdiately reached out to answer it, not giving it a chance to ring a second ti.
"Hello! Who’s this?"
He kept his voice very low and light, regardless of whether the person on the other end could hear it or not.
"...Have you both gone to bed?"
After a good while, the person on the other end finally spoke.
Even though the voice coming through the phone was very soft, Easton recognized it imdiately; it was none other than his father, Fabian Hols.
"Mm!"
He responded indifferently, and before the person on the other end could speak again, he decisively hung up.
But the phone rang again just monts after he put it down.
Easton’s first reaction was to reach for the phone to stop the ringing imdiately. As soon as he put the phone to his ear, Fabian Hols’s voice ca through, "Can you not hang up on ? I need your help with sothing urgent."
Unable to reach Alia Linton and Theodore Hols, Fabian Hols was left with no choice but to turn to Easton Hols for help. He had called several tis, but Easton’s phone was out of service.
Unaware, he thought Easton had poor reception and was desperate to reach him, so he called the ho landline without much thought.
"Speak! What is it?"
Hearing that Fabian Hols needed urgent help, Easton couldn’t fully harden his heart. He asked the person on the other end while sitting up from the sofa.
Although Easton’s voice and attitude were icy, Fabian Hols felt satisfied and sowhat surprised.
He expected Easton to refuse him, but to his surprise, Easton actually asked him what the matter was.
"I can’t reach your mom now, can you help contact her? We had a bit of a spat just now, and she drove off." Fabian Hols didn’t dare to ntion Theodore Hols, nor did he dare to say that Alia Linton had left with Theodore Hols, fearing it would anger Easton.
To avoid extra trouble, he decided to keep his lips sealed.
Upon hearing what Fabian Hols said, Easton’s brow furrowed, and his expression beca unpleasant, "If you’re so worried about her, why did you argue with her just now?"
Not knowing what exactly had transpired, he assud the person on the other end was worried about Alia Linton’s safety and couldn’t think beyond that at the mont.
"It’s too late to discuss this now. Can you please help contact your mom?" Fabian Hols didn’t offer any explanations or say more; anxious and eager to find Alia Linton and Theodore Hols, he didn’t want to see a more serious situation develop.
Through the phone, Easton sensed Fabian Hols’s urgency and concern, so he didn’t bother to say more. He leaned over to pick up his mobile phone from the coffee table.
With one hand holding the landline and the other his mobile phone, he managed both without delay.
