Athena Linton originally didn’t want to bother with Thomas Fisher any longer, but suddenly she heard him say this, and she imdiately turned around and sat over towards him.
"If you don’t want to tell the goddess sister about this, then tell the truth, who exactly is that woman?" She took the opportunity to threaten him, trying to get information about that woman from him, sothing she had been trying hard to do.
"What I told you just now was the truth. I’m really not familiar with that woman. If you don’t believe , go ask your brother Benjamin and brother Ryan." Thomas Fisher was really tired of Athena Linton’s pestering, so to stop her from tattling to Lily Turner, he had no choice but to ntion Benjamin Shaw and Ryan Taylor, hoping that bringing them up would make her quiet for a while. Her behavior made it hard for him to concentrate on driving.
As soon as he said this, Athena Linton did indeed quiet down, but it was only a short reprieve.
"Lend your phone; my dad confiscated mine." Earlier this morning, just as Athena Linton had walked out of her room with her phone, Michael Linton ca up and took it from her. Saying it was confiscated was putting it nicely.
Her phone was taken away by her dad, and there was no room for negotiation.
When Thomas Fisher reached for his phone, he suddenly rembered he had given it to Alice Turner earlier when he was dancing in the kitchen. After she pushed him out of the kitchen, he forgot to take it back. She likely forgot as well.
"While dancing earlier, I gave the phone to your goddess sister’s sister. When we arrive, you can ask your brother Benjamin and brother Ryan." He knew she wanted the phone to call those two brothers, but now that his phone wasn’t in his pocket, he had no other way.
"All our phones were taken, so why is your phone still with you? That’s so unfair, I strongly protest!" Athena Linton suddenly realized sothing unfair: their phones were taken, but Thomas Fisher still had his phone.
She rembered now that earlier he had used his phone to play music while dancing.
In the wedding procession, other than Easton Hols and his three brothers, everyone’s phones were collected. When they got to the wedding venue, the phones also had to be turned in.
They hadn’t handed over the phones yet, just kept them for communication if needed.
Thomas Fisher glanced at the protesting Athena Linton, shaking his head helplessly, "You don’t need to be so upset, and you shouldn’t feel it’s unfair. I have to hand in my phone when I go back too; it’s just temporary for now."
Everyone had to hand in their phones. They weren’t doing anything special, especially since even the military leaders had to turn in their phones.
"That’s more like it."
After hearing Thomas Fisher’s explanation, Athena Linton’s excitent finally cald down. Just as she was about to say sothing more, she suddenly saw the car in front stop.
She leaned to the side to look out the window and realized they had reached the gate of the Military District Compound.
Seeing the car in front stop, Thomas Fisher also stopped imdiately, waiting for the vehicles to start moving again.
He thought they would be able to pass quickly, but after waiting a while, the car in front showed no signs of moving.
Thomas Fisher was puzzled, and just as he was wondering, he suddenly saw soone get out of the car in front.
The car in front was driven by a soldier. As soon as the soldier got out, he quickly ran toward the gate of the compound.
