As soon as Alice Turner finished speaking, Benjamin Shaw turned around to look at her. He hadn’t been deliberately listening to the call; his attention was elsewhere.
Just now, upon hearing her call "sis," he suddenly realized that the call was from his sister.
"Got it, I’m totally at ease," Charlotte Shaw replied with a smile. After responding, she suddenly put away her smile and asked in a calm voice, "Is that brat at ho? Let him take the call."
The actual situation of Benjamin Shaw and Alice Turner after their marriage is sothing only the two of them know, and no one else understands their situation as well.
Charlotte Shaw only knows that their relationship isn’t very good, but she never thought that her brother basically doesn’t co ho to stay.
"Hold on a minute."
Alice Turner didn’t want to continue talking to Charlotte Shaw because she was worried she might accidentally slip sothing out if she talked too much. She imdiately handed the phone to Benjamin Shaw, "Sis wants to talk to you."
Anyone from his family treats him better than he treats himself. In the half year since they got married, he has never shown her a kind face; when he speaks to her, there’s always a tone of sarcasm.
When facing him, she could confront him with a stern attitude, but in front of his family, she was more mindful of her behavior.
Benjamin Shaw glanced at her, reached out, and took the phone from her hand. He didn’t imdiately put the phone to his ear but took the phone and walked to one side.
After distancing himself from Alice Turner, he only then put the phone to his ear, "Hello! What’s up?"
When he realized that the call was from his sister, he imdiately guessed what the situation was likely to be. Because he guessed it, his tone wasn’t very pleasant when he spoke.
"You brat! What’s up you say?"
Charlotte Shaw didn’t hold back with Benjamin Shaw from the mont she spoke, completely unlike the way she spoke to Alice Turner earlier. Now she’s both angry and anxious, and when she speaks, she doesn’t think to lower her voice deliberately.

Charlotte Shaw may not see her brother on the other end of the phone, but she knows that Benjamin Shaw understands what’s going on, but she doesn’t intend to let him play dumb. She straightforwardly continued, "Can’t you treat Alice well? Alice is such a good girl, how can you not cherish her?"
She looks like she’s exasperated at his shortcomings, if she were right beside him now, she’d surely give him a slap.
Benjamin Shaw, however, had a nonchalant attitude, and was even a bit impatient, "Can you say sothing besides this?"
Since marrying her over the last half-year, these are the words he’s heard most at ho; his ears are almost getting callused from hearing them over the half-year.
"What? Annoyed with ? Even if you’re annoyed, I’m going to say it." Hearing her brother speak like that, Charlotte Shaw’s stubbornness imdiately escalated, "The way you’re acting is exactly what we usually call..."
"I have another call coming in, I’ll hang up first."
Not wanting to listen to his sister’s nagging any longer, Benjamin Shaw decisively hung up, using the excuse that another call was coming in.
