"Are you all alright?" Jack kicked away the switchblade that Schier had dropped, protecting Cheryl as they left the room first.

He pretended to drive less than 2 kiloters, then, worried that the engine noise would alert the suspect, he abandoned the car and ran back.

After all, he wasn't sure about JJ's fighting ability, and leaving the two girls to deal with Schier made him sowhat worried, so he practically sprinted the whole ti.

The little girl had long since lost her feigned fear; after all, from the mont Rossi told everyone that there might be a bug in the recording equipnt and demanded absolute trust from the Davenport father and daughter — everyone present had beco an actor.

Except for Reid, whose acting was the worst, he was responsible for keeping quiet.

If Rossi angered Schier by repeatedly hanging up the phone, then the Davenport father and daughter's conflict with Rossi, out of concern for Tracy's safety, had so elent of acting, it was all genuine.

So when JJ pretended to go with Jack to buy food and water, but actually sneaked back to Cheryl's room, Cheryl's acting beca sowhat lacking.

Fortunately, Schier was blinded by desire and the joy of victory and didn't notice Cheryl's constant glances behind her.

"Where's Tracy?" JJ's eyebrows furrowed, her usually smiling face now covered in frost.

Seeing Schier's nonchalant attitude, Jack was about to call him over; this kind of coward who only preys on the weak would confess everything if a bone or two was broken.

The next second, Jack's eyes narrowed — JJ's right foot, clad in high heels, was already on Schier's foot, slowly applying pressure.

"Tell , where is Tracy?"

Jack pulled Cheryl back, who was curiously peeking into the room, and covered her eyes.

"Good girls shouldn't watch this."

When Jack and JJ handed Schier over to the arriving FBI agents and police, and took Cheryl to the address he had given them, the area was already full of police cars, and Rossi was already waiting outside.

"Tracy!" Seeing her sister being carried out of the garage on a stretcher by paradics, Cheryl, who had been standing behind them, rushed forward excitedly.

"She's alright, there's still so sedative in her system, she'll be fine after a nap," Reid comforted her, having helped the paradics carry Tracy out.

"Thank you, thank you so much."

Evan, the father, quickly stepped forward and helped the paradics lift the stretcher into the ambulance, turning to thank everyone repeatedly.

Until a paradic closed the car door, blocking their view.

Watching the ambulance drive away, the four BAU mbers exchanged glances, finding relieved smiles on their faces.

"Is Tracy really alright?" JJ's beautiful eyes widened, still sowhat surprised.

"She might be a little shaken, but I believe she'll be fine soon with her sister by her side." Reid, of course, knew what she was worried about.

"Like I said, that guy sees the two sisters as a perfect unit. He won't rush to take down one of them before catching the other." Jack was sowhat smug, feeling a great sense of accomplishnt at successfully closing a case for the BAU.

On the way back to the airport, Jack drove again, while JJ voluntarily got into the passenger seat.

Reid, even after getting into the back seat, was still curiously asking questions.

"How did JJ get Schier to reveal Tracy's hiding place? Why did Jack turn off the communicator in his pocket at the end?"

"You've really impressed ." Jack glanced at JJ beside him, his words carrying a hidden aning.

Seeing the two of them, one speaking in riddles and the other remaining silent, Reid turned to Rossi.

"You ask too many questions. Let's just enjoy the mont." Rossi tried to stop him from courting disaster.

Reid was still sowhat unwilling to give up. "Jack, you know that when you and Schier were alone in the car, our conversation could be heard by all of us, right?"

Jack paused slightly, then glared at him. "You should also know that I was trying to evoke empathy from Schier."

"Speaking of which." JJ suddenly flicked her hair, twirling a strand of hair around her fingertip, and bit her lip as she looked at Jack.

"Is this the kind of hint you're talking about?"

...

Back in Los Angeles, it was already afternoon. Rossi led everyone to the BAU's Los Angeles office, in the sa building as the FBI's Los Angeles field office.

They had a large, single-level floor, a large office, several smaller individual offices, and two fully equipped conference rooms.

"Pick a desk yourself. Three of our team mbers haven't reported yet; everyone should be here by next week."

"This is a temporary, urgent mission. You can work together to complete the case analysis report. Aaron Hotchner, who's in charge of administration, will arrive tomorrow; he'll be your administrative leader from now on."

Everyone was a little surprised. Reid raised his hand and asked, "Aren't you our supervisor? After all, you're the one who gathered us."

Rossi shook his head and smiled, "I'm already old enough. Do you want to be busy with paperwork every day?"

"But at least for the next few years, I'll be involved in all the cases you handle. Hotchner will be in charge of all the administrative work. He's a good leader, experienced and energetic; you should give him the respect he deserves."

Everyone nodded in unison.

Rossi then said goodbye and left. The three of them stayed to complete the analysis report, but with the brilliant Dr. Reid there, a report of over 20,000 words was finished before dark.

"I'm going ho to take a hot shower; I'm so tired," JJ said, rubbing her aching shoulders, bidding farewell to the other two.

Since not all team mbers had arrived yet, a gathering now would seem like forming a clique, so everyone tacitly refrained from suggesting a get-together.

Jack grabbed Reid, revealing a sinister grin to the sowhat panicked guy.

"Co with . Before you leave work, let's go to the gym together. I told you, I'll help you burn off those extra calories."

JJ watched the two playfully fighting as they left, a helpless smile on her face.

In the following days, no new ergency cases occurred, and the remaining three mbers of the action team reported for duty.

They were Aaron Hotchner, the supervisor Rossi had ntioned; field agent Emily Prentiss; and Penelope Garcia, the computer expert assigned to the action team by the technical departnt.

Aaron Hotchner was a tall, middle-aged man in his early forties, who looked very serious. Jack had hardly seen him smile in the past few days, and he seed like a difficult person to deal with.

[A/n: I normally limited to 5 chapters per day(5-7 k words) But didn't want readers and myself to be left on a cliffhanger when the arc is already completed. So, last chapter in the twin arc.

Also, the OG author said he won't make drastic changes to the arcs with normal endings, but he will change that for other arcs. Just a heads up.

A good arc actually, nothing chingchong and any other bullshit. Nicely done, If only all arcs are like these, then no need for to edit and translate.]
