Now reading: Chapter 276 276: 276-Bond from Reborn: The Rookie Detective, a Action novel by jackrose.

The once deserted campus was now in an uproar. The sirens of police cars and ambulances mingled, leading unsuspecting residents to believe another campus shooting had occurred.

Hotchner led the way, followed by the BAU mbers and Hannah, both guns in hand, muzzles down, splitting into two teams and quickly making their way down the first-floor corridor of the academic building. Behind them were seven or eight detectives and officers from the LAPD Southeast Precinct.

They had just reached the main entrance when they heard three gunshots rang out from inside, their tension imdiately rising.

Although everyone had confidence in Jack's skills, sothing about the gunshots was off. Two clear Glock shots were followed by a muffled shotgun blast, inevitably raising suspicions.

Bang!

Just as they reached the end of the corridor, the door to the n's restroom was kicked open in front of them, and Keeson erged quickly, carrying his daughter Lindsay.

Seeing more than ten handguns pointed at them, the two imdiately raised their hands.

"What happened inside, Jack!"

JJ and Hannah rushed forward, bypassing the two and into the n's restroom.

"Hey, girls, this isn't a place for good girls."

Seeing Jack safely crouching beside a corpse, the two girls breathed a sigh of relief and put away their guns.

Hotchner and Rossi followed closely behind, their expressions softening slightly when they saw the headless corpse on the ground.

"I did my best." Jack said innocently to the two girls.

Rossi shook his head, unconcerned; after all, the hostage was safe, the killer was brought to justice, and the case was considered solved satisfactorily.

Hotchner, however, frowned, his gaze shifting back and forth between the two and Jack, seemingly wanting to say sothing but ultimately remaining silent.

Leaving the "aftermath" to the LAPD, as the group left the teaching building, Jack noticed that Keeson and his daughter hadn't left imdiately.

Accompanied by Pat Mannan, who had already changed into a marshal's uniform, they waited by a police car.

Seeing Jack erge, Keeson released his daughter, took two steps forward, and extended his right hand.

"Thank you, and thank you to your colleagues as well. Thank you for everything you've done for my daughter."

Jack smiled and shook his hand. "You're welco. It's our responsibility. You have a brave daughter. I wish you all the best."

Keeson understood his implication and nodded with a smile. "Yes, you are a very interesting young man. If we et again in the future, I hope we can sit down and have a drink."

Unexpectedly, Pat Mannan also stood in front of Hotchner, his expression sour, but he sincerely expressed his gratitude.

"Although I personally don't like what you did, I have to admit that without your efforts, things would have been very bad."

"I hope we can have more trust between us in the future." Hotchner's answer was impeccable, leaving Pat Mannan awkwardly tugging at the corners of his mouth, forcing out an expression that was hard to tell whether to laugh or cry.

This case was arguably the simplest since the BAU's reorganization, yet it took Jack two whole days to write his report.

Since the final outco occurred in a bathroom without surveillance caras, Jack's report, along with the testimonies of Keeson and Lindsay, beca crucial evidence in dealing with the District Attorney.

So sotis, necessary procedures must be followed, even without body caras.

After reading the near-perfect report, Hotchner sighed softly, set it aside, and stared at Jack with a slightly complicated expression.

Only after Jack felt a chill run down his spine did he sigh again, "Go find Rossi; he has sothing to discuss with you."

"Huh?"

Jack was bewildered by his expression, got up blankly to leave, turned right after leaving, went to Rossi's office next door, and knocked on the door.

"Hotchner said you wanted to see ?"

"Huh? Oh, yes, that's right, co in." Rossi's expression beca even stranger when he saw Jack.

Seeing him holding back his anger for so long without saying a word, Jack started to panic. He began to recall his recent actions. Had Keeson or his daughter Lindsay said sothing they shouldn't have during their statents?

"So, what is it?"

Rossi hesitated for a while, then seed to finally find the right words and said cautiously, "Jack, you know, we usually don't interfere in our own people's private lives."

Jack's heart skipped a beat. A voice inside him scread, 'Oh no, my scumbag behavior has been discovered so quickly, my image is going to collapse.'

[A/n: Bro, they already know, you said it, Mr. Dentia]

"We don't encourage overly close relationships between colleagues, but Hotchner and I both know that as ti goes by and we spend a lot of ti together, so things are inevitable. After all, you are the most outstanding young people I've ever t."

"???"

Jack felt that there was sothing strange about what Rossi was saying. Could it be that things weren't what he thought?

Seemingly relieved that he wasn't enraged by the exposure of his privacy or showed any excessive resistance, Rossi's expression gradually relaxed.

"Our special operations team is a very special entity within the BAU, and we need to maintain a good working relationship with various local offices."

"And Ms. Stephens (Hannah), as the 'rising star' of the FBI's Los Angeles office…"

Half an hour later, Jack left Rossi's office in a daze.

"Hey, Jack, ti to go ho. I have my physical training today."

Reid was gradually shedding his forr bean sprout physique. Under Jack's persistent feeding and encouragent, his body was beginning to resemble that of a normal person.

His fighting skills had also improved slightly; from being unable to beat anyone before, he could now handle one or two street thugs without much trouble.

Having tasted success, he now had a habit of going to the gym every day after work.

"Uh, my mind's a bit ssy. You go practice by yourself today. I need to consult soone."

Having been greatly shocked by Rossi's words, Jack hurriedly left amidst Reid's bewildered gaze.

Late at night, at Maureen's ho.

"Hahaha," Maureen laughed, curling up in a ball on the bed.

"Really? That old man David wanted to talk to you about this kind of thing?"

"Hahaha!" Slap!

Jack gave her increasingly rounded buttocks a light slap.

"Can you help analyze what Rossi ant?"

Maureen finally managed to stop laughing, asking breathlessly, "Do you know what David's nickna was in the FBI?"

Jack shook his head, looking blank.

"Jas Bond of the BAU."

"Do you know how many girls in the FBI fought tooth and nail for that Italian guy back then?"
