Chapter 152: The Fall of Zenith

The morning sun filtered through the heavy iron shutters of my inner sanctum.

I sat on the edge of the massive obsidian bed, looking at the translucent blue and crimson interface floating in my vision.

DING!

[Current Imperial Points (IP): 5,840,000]

[Current Lust/Domination Points (LP): 2,150,000]

I dismissed the screens with a thought. The numbers were staggering. The sheer volu of conceptual power running through my core made the ambient mana in the room warp and hum around my physical body.

Behind , the bed was a tangle of silk and exhausted powerhouses. Lysandra’s maroon wings were draped lazily over Kaelith’s silver hair. Nyssa slept soundly against my hip, her green tattoos softly glowing in a dormant state, while Anise curled into the center of the bed, a peaceful smile on the Level 100 Hero’s face.

They were the absolute apex females of the Monster Continent, and they were completely spent.

Suddenly, a sharp, violent spike of kinetic energy pulsed through my Royal Telepathic Network.

Sovereign, Rolf’s deep, rumbling voice echoed in my mind. The background noise of the telepathic link was filled with the deafening roar of artillery fire and screaming. We have breached the Eastern Coast. The outer gates of the Zenith Academy are down.

I stood up. My massive, scarred green muscles tensed as I stretched.

Status of their defenses? I projected back, casually equipping my Ironclad suit.

Non-existent, Silas’s cold voice chid into the link. Without the Vanguard or Archlich Malacor, the Grandmasters are just fragile scholars holding dusty books. The steam-tanks are reducing their pristine marble towers to gravel. It is a total rout.

Hold the Grand Hall, I commanded, the heavy S-Grade Hive Chitin seamlessly locking over my crimson chanical plates. I am coming to collect my prize.

I didn’t bother taking a Wyvern or a train. I possessed a spatial ring fueled by millions of IP, and my mana reserves were practically infinite.

I channeled my core and forcefully tore a hole through the fabric of the continent.

VWOOM.

I stepped out of the spatial tear and directly onto the polished white steps of the Zenith Academy.

The air was thick with black smoke and burning parchnt. The grand, sprawling campus that had stood as a symbol of human supremacy for centuries was being utterly annihilated.

Massive Beastn Vanguard troops were actively tearing down the towering golden statues of ancient human founders.

Silas’s steam-tanks continuously fired high-explosive shells into the floating libraries, sending burning books raining down like ash.

It was absolute, unapologetic revenge for the monster races.

I walked up the shattered marble steps, my heavy brass boots crunching over broken glass and discarded wands.

I entered the Grand Hall.

It was the exact sa massive, opulent chamber where Valerius Thorne had challenged to the Rite of the Apex. Now, the obsidian table was shattered. The luxurious banners were torn.

At the far end of the room, completely surrounded by a ring of Rolf’s snarling Beastn, stood the last remnants of the Zenith elite. A dozen frail, elderly Grandmasters cowered behind magical shields.

And standing in front of them, breathing heavily, was Seraphina Thorne.

The Incubus noble looked terrible. Her pristine aristocratic robes were scorched, and her perfect face was sared with soot and terror. She held a glowing, ancient golden relic—a jagged cross radiating intense holy magic—tightly in her trembling hands.

"Call off your beasts, Goblin!" Seraphina shrieked, her voice cracking as I stepped into the light of the burning hall.

I did not stop walking. My towering, pitch-black S-Grade armor absorbed the light of the fires, making look like a walking shadow of death.

"You are erasing thousands of years of history!" Seraphina cried, raising the golden relic. "You are a barbarian! A mindless plague!"

"I am the Sovereign," I rumbled, stopping ten feet away from her. "And history is written by the king who burns the old books."

Seraphina’s eyes flashed with absolute desperation. She poured all of her remaining mana into the ancient Zenith relic.

FWOOSH!

A blinding, concentrated beam of absolute holy destruction erupted from the cross, tearing through the air directly toward my chest. It was a spell designed to instantly vaporize high-tier monsters.

I didn’t even raise my hand to block.

The holy beam slamd into my S-Grade Hive Chitin. The absolute apex of biological armor perfectly reflected and nullified the mana.

The blinding light simply splashed against my chest plate and fizzled into harmless golden sparks.

Seraphina dropped the relic. It clattered uselessly onto the marble floor.

She fell to her knees. Realizing magic and weapons were completely useless, she reverted to her absolute base instincts.

Her Incubus bloodline flared. Her eyes glowed with a desperate, enchanting pink light.

"Please, Lord Grik," Seraphina whimpered, deliberately tearing the collar of her scorched robes to expose her collarbone. She projected a wave of raw, concentrated lust directly at my mind. "I can serve you. I can be useful to the Forge. I have the blood of the ancients... I can give you heirs..."

I looked down at her.

My Domination Aura flared, heavy and suffocating. Her pathetic attempt at charm shattered instantly against the sheer conceptual weight of my mind.

I had a C-Grade Noctharion Empress and an A-Grade Succubus Queen resting in my bed. Seraphina’s desperate magic felt like a gentle breeze against a concrete wall.

"I gave you my terms before the siege started," I stated coldly, reaching down.

I wrapped my massive brass gauntlet around her throat and lifted her effortlessly off the floor.

"I asked for your head."

I squeezed.

CRUNCH.

I casually tossed the lifeless body of the last Zenith heir into the rubble.

The elderly Grandmasters behind her imdiately dropped to their knees, weeping and pressing their faces against the floor in absolute surrender.

"Rolf," I commanded, turning away from the cowering humans. "Throw them in the iron mines. Let them dig for the Forge until their hands bleed."

"With pleasure, Alpha," the Silver Wolf grinned, signaling his troops to drag the screaming scholars away.

Silas stepped out from the shadows of the hall. The Chief Inquisitor wiped soot from his sharp suit, a freshly lit cigar glowing in his mouth.

"The surface is secured, Sovereign," Silas reported, blowing a ring of smoke. "But Nyssa just arrived via the spatial tether. She found sothing beneath the Academy. In the deepest Vault."

"Gold? Artifacts?" I asked.

"No," Silas replied, his voice uncharacteristically grim. "She said you need to see it yourself. It’s not of this world."

I followed Silas down a hidden, spiraling staircase hidden beneath the shattered obsidian throne. The air grew incredibly cold, and the ambient mana shifted from the standard elental magic of the continent into sothing heavy, tallic, and distinctly alien.

We reached the bottom of the Zenith Vault.

It was a massive, perfectly spherical room constructed entirely of seamless white tal. There were no chests of gold. There were no racks of enchanted weapons.

In the dead center of the room, Nyssa was standing before a colossal, floating crystalline structure.

It was shaped like a jagged, multi-dinsional diamond, easily thirty feet tall. It pulsed with a terrifying, rhythmic golden light. Thick, startal chains anchored the crystal to the floor, ceiling, and walls.

"Sovereign," Nyssa whispered as I approached. Her green eyes were wide with sheer, unfiltered awe. "This isn’t an artifact. The Zenith Academy didn’t create this."

"What is it?" I demanded, feeling the heavy, suffocating pressure of the True Rulers radiating from the stone.

"It is a Cosmic Anchor," Nyssa explained, her hands tracing the air near the crystal without touching it. "The True Rulers placed this here thousands of years ago. It physically tethers this planet to their higher dinsion. The Academy was just guarding it."

DING!

The System interface violently flashed before my eyes, burning with a bright, terrifying gold border.

[Global Quest Triggered: The Cosmic Threshold]

[Observation Complete: You have eradicated the planetary gatekeepers.]

[Condition t: S-Grade Anomaly Detected.]

[Warning: The True Rulers require a new Warden for the Monster Continent. If you do not accept the mantle, they will pull the Anchor and initiate a Planetary Cleansing.]

I stared at the golden prompt, and then up at the colossal, pulsating Cosmic Anchor.

The True Rulers weren’t just watching anymore. They had officially put a gun to my head.

I cracked my heavy brass knuckles, my red eyes flaring beneath my dark visor.

"Nyssa," I growled, my Fla of Death sparking wildly in my core. "How much kinetic force do you think it takes to shatter a god’s anchor?"
