A tall dark figure was standing at wooden gate of the hideout, in front of the figure was Hans and the skinny soulless who had co to fetch him a few minutes ago.

Hans and the figure had been at it for a while now and with each passing mont things seem to be growing intense between the two of them.

The figure had a gloomy expression, looking at Hans like he wanted to cut out his throat. Hans on the other hand looked at the figure with fearso eyes, courageous and stalwart! Standing on his decision.

The figure withdrew his hateful glare and exhaled. Then he spoke with an intimidating raspy voice:

"The Sky lord has given you several options. This will be the last warning. Join the sky lord or be subdued by the terrors that lurk in the darkness beneath this land."

Hans grimaced.

"There is nothing the sky lord will do to us. For centuries we have refused to serve any lord. Many have co and we are still standing, not bowing to anyone. Besides... tell the Sky lord. We now have a lord of our own, a player like himself."

Hans boasted with edgy shoulders.

The news seed to crack a hard spot in the figures’ composure. He frowned and narrowed his eyes, after taking a few monts to think about it, his voice ca forth.

"The soulless have never had a lord for decades, are you bluffing just to refuse the rule of the sky lord?"

Hans let out a smug smirk. He looked down and up at the figure and responded:

"You wish. The soulless now have a lord. He is the one spoken of by the Divine Nightmare, he has passed the trials and has proven himself worthy of leading us. Tell your sky lord. We don’t need any more master."

With this said, a slight anger settled on the figures’ face. His terrific face looking like a sculpture molded out of molten stones wore thin with a dark expression. He shook his head at Hans.

"You have no idea what is coming for you. And you and your lord. The sky lord will burn everything to the ground."

Hans nodded to what he had said, nonchalantly displacing it as the figure took a step back and walked away from the hideout.

Hans watched the tall and intimidating fra of his disappear into the woods. Imdiately the man was gone, he turned around and ran inside, fear falling heavily on his face.

Raith was getting accustod to the things that the soulless were doing. Most of them were combat drills but he was also delighted to know that they are excellent blacksmiths amongst them.

They made cutleries and utility weapons which were very useful for mundane humans and also very affordable. They were also craftians that made pretty useless things from his point of view but were bound to be very useful for whoever they were selling it to.

It was a sure ans of raking in money for them, if not how have they not given up on doing it seeing that they’ve been at it for the past centuries of their lives.

"But the most way we make money and maintain our living expenses is through bounty hunting."

The soulless with a skinny fra but taller than almost everyone around intoned.

Raith looked up and nodded his face.

"I see..." He paused for a little while, taking in the height of the soulless talking to him.

’Damn he’s tall’

Raith craned his neck again as he asked another question:

"So, right now there’s no bounty hunting going on?"

The tall guy shook his head, adjusting the wooden rim around his eyes.

"Currently we are on a very important job. The main bounty hunter cohort is on that job."

Raith was interested in the conversation.

"Wow. So there are still others."

"Yea. The six strongest guys are the bounty hunter cohorts that take care of all the jobs. They are incredibly as strong as Hans himself."

The soulless explained.

"Great one! Great one!"

Hans racing voice ca falling from afar as he raced towards them. After a couple of seconds, he arrived, trying to catch his breathe.

"There... there... there is trouble."

Raith frowned slightly.

"Is sothing wrong?"

"The... the... the the sky lord, he ca again."

Everyone’s face beca tense. Raith looked around him with a stern face. He could literally feel the hardness in the atmosphere.

"What happened? Who is this sky lord?" He asked Hans.

The gaunt soulless took a few monts to let air into his lungs then exhaled.

"The sky lord is a player that rules over space. He is one of the top hundred players on the multidinsional ranking board and he has been threatening us to join his crew."

"A player that rules the space... why does he want you to join his crew?"

Hans shook his head.

"We don’t know but he has been headstrong about it for about a hundred years now."

"Well, it had been a hundred years. Why is it now that it involves trouble."

Hans moved his hands and clenched them, a flood of resolve washing over his face.

"Because I told him that there is nothing he can do now that we have a lord of our own."

Raith’s eyes widened and creased a second later.

"Hell no you didn’t."

"That was the only way to make them stop."

"What do you an make them stop. You just said there is trouble?"

Hans breathed.

"It’s a simple thing. Now that the sky lord knows that we have a lord that is a player. He will try to use the pact of a player."

Raith raised a brow. "The pact of a player, what is that?"

The gaunt leader of the soulless widened his eyes in disbelief.

"What? I just beca a player of recent. I don’t know anything of the world of it."

"I see... I see... that explains a lot. Well, the sky lord is going to try to challenge you a death duel. Winner takes it all."
