The Thought Ruler Demon Lord was a careful person. He had not stored any of the crucial information on the inheritance in any Information Path Gu worms, in case they could be stolen or degraded over ti. Instead, he had written down most of it by hand. This ant that it would take Fang Yuan ti to manually shift through all of these volus.
As he flipped through the books he found that there was more to them than the inheritance from the Imperial Court Blessed Land. There were also the results of the Thought Ruler Demon Lord's own experints, including the recipe for Thought Detonation Gu, which was sothing that Fang Yuan didn't have, given it was an original creation of the man.
Fang Yuan placed the massive number of books into his aperture, which he would dissect later on.
"Fang Yuan, have you found anything else?" Bai Ning Bing asked. "If not, help refine this gu worm." She was speaking about the Rank 5 Depression Millipede, which was still hibernating. If she tried to refine it, however, it would without a doubt counterattack.
"If you cannot refine this gu worm, perhaps you do not deserve to have it," Fang Yuan said, stretching his arms lazily.
"Fang Yuan! Do not forget that as per our agreent, you have to help refine this gu worm," Bai Ning Bing said.
"That only applies to Gu worms at Rank 4 and below," Fang Yuan pointed out. Then he added, "I'm afraid that our so-called 'agreent', will no longer bind ."
He then unsealed his cultivation, unleashing his Rank 6 aura!
Bai Ning Bing's pupils shrank. Her imdiate thought was to run. She had been working with Fang Yuan under the chains of the Poison Vow Gu specifically because she thought that it would be enough to restrain him. Else, Fang Yuan was a viper who could turn on her at any mont, baring his fangs.
Now, though, realizing that Fang Yuan was at Rank 6 and that the Poison Vow Gu would do nothing to stop his actions, she knew that she needed to run. Otherwise, she would end up falling and becoming a pawn of Fang Yuan. With that, she realized how it was that Fang Yuan had manipulated the elders of the Zhu and the Jun clans.
She knew little of the world of Immortals directly, but she knew there was nothing that she could do against Fang Yuan.
"Relax, Bai Ning Bing," Fang Yuan said, waving his arm. After which Bai Ning Bing found that she could no longer activate the gu worms within her aperture. Activating gu worms required thought, and Fang Yuan had sealed hers from reaching her aperture while they were walking here. "It seems that you are in a hurry to run away. And yet, it would pain that we should part so soon after just reuniting. You would run away despite rescuing you as well? I don't think that's very nice," Fang Yuan said. He then stared at her with perverse glee.
"Fang Yuan, don't think that you can succeed in capturing ," Bai Ning Bing said. "I will detonate myself the mont I feel like it. I am no one's slave."
"Neither am I asking you to be," Fang Yuan said, waving his hand. "After all, I still need your help in deciphering the secret of the Dollhouse, do I not?" Fang Yuan pointed out. "Having you run away for no reason… no, I can't possibly have that, not when you could be the key to its inheritance."
Bai Ning Bing realized that she did have one thing over Fang Yuan, given this information.
"In such a case, why don't you simply give the Yang Rotation Gu to ?" Bai Ning Bing said. "There's really nothing that I can do against an Immortal, so why not just hand it over?"
"Why not? Because it would still give leverage over you," Fang Yuan said, yawning. "Even if you manage to beco an Immortal one day, you would still need the Yang Gu in question in order to gain your old body back. How could I let go of such a valuable hostage? Now, I am not a completely unreasonable person, Bai Ning Bing. After all, I do happen to owe you certain things because of our earlier agreent. I think that much of the wealth within this inheritance can pay off that debt. Any reasonable person could see that."
"Hold on," Bai Ning Bing said. "This ans that while you are not bound by the Poison Vow, I still am?" That was a terrible situation for her - she could not do anything to Fang Yuan even if his cultivation was shattered and turned back to Rank 1, while he could do whatsoever he pleased.
Fang Yuan chuckled to himself. "It's good that you've realized the severity of your situation. Now, like I said, I still have plans for the future, and you are part of those plans. Let us return to Shang Clan City in the anti. First, though, let digest what all is written here," Fang Yuan said.

anwhile, on the Fang Yuan Continent within his aperture, Wang Tian slowly got up. His breathing was no longer ragged, and for the first ti in a long while he was able to appreciate the surroundings around him. The sky was clear and cloudless with the sun blessing the world beneath it with its radiance.
"Look who's made a swift recovery," soone said to him. He turned his head to see several mbers of the tribe which had rescued him staring at him.
"Yeah, it looks like my fever finally broke," Wang Tian said. "It seems that your dicine really worked."
He had thought that he was done for; that he was going to die. However, after a few days it seed that the illness reached a point where it began to wane. It was like Wang Tian had jumped over a break point that was critical and the disease faded, letting him recover. His body still felt sore all over, but the worst of the fever was gone, and his appetite had returned.
"Good, good," several of the tribe mbers said, one of them slapping him on the shoulder. "Good to have you join us, then."
"Indeed. It's not often that we can get a Rank 1 Gu Master as our slave," another one said.
Wang Tian's cheerful mood imdiately evaporated.
"Slave?"
"Well, of course, lad," one of the people of the tribe said. "You're an outsider. You're not one of us. Why on earth did we bother helping you in the first place? Sure, that old man might have felt a bit sorry for you because you looked like his son, but you really aren't his son now, are you? Certainly, you have to pay us back."
"Take a few more days to rest, you'll need them. Now, once you're healthy and fit, we're going to have you work for the tribe for the rest of your life."
The man had a wicked glint behind his eyes as Wang Tian could do nothing but lower his head.
He had not even been able to feed his gu worms because of his illness, so they had all died out within his aperture. He did not have gu worms to defend himself and even if he was in peak physical condition there was nothing he could do against these kinds of people. He truly was nothing but at on a chopping block for this tribe and could do nothing but accept the life of servitude.
'To go from nearly dying to becoming a slave... is this all that life has in store for ?' he thought bitterly.
One thought did remain in his mind though - the information that he had glead on how to get to Rank 2. He could not do so openly right now, but if he managed to find a friendly gu worm down the road, he might be able to escape and even advance!
