Laden was just about to move his mind towards the tattoo on his left chest when one question he had never thought about popped up in his mind.
"Does the tattoo still remain on my chest after that injury?" Laden questioned.
He could rember the injury on his chest ran across his whole chest, so he could be sure that it ran across the injury.
Laden moved towards the small light and peeked at his chest, where he saw a complete concentric tattoo on his left chest.
"It really did grow back," Laden muttered.
Having confird his thoughts, Laden moved towards a corner of the forest where he had been sitting earlier and focused his mind on the tattoo on his chest.
He felt the familiar sensitivity, and in the blink of an eye, he was already in the spirit world.
"Hot," Laden shouted before he even opened his eyes.
The instant he opened his eyes, Laden almost fainted in shock when he saw the environnt he currently was in.
All around Laden were large pits of magma that were surrounded by pitch-black rock. Each of the pits of magma looks like the external opening of an underground volcano.
"Why are we in a freaking volcanic zone?" Laden cursed.
But what appeared different from the other location he had gotten to was that Laden didn’t notice any beast or life in his imdiate surroundings.
"That’s weird," Laden muttered, but he didn’t bother about it for too long; instead, he shifted his focus back to what he actually ca for.
"Pri, can you still sense that connection?" Laden asked.
"Yes, it’s still there, though it is faint, it is still there," Pri responded.
"Ohhh perfect then, let’s rge and get the acting started," Laden said with a weird smile.
His current excitent seed to be a facade to hide how scared he actually was of the situation.
Pri appeared beside Laden before directly rging into him, giving him a body shape change and blue fur. The instant they were done with the possession, Laden imdiately felt the heat from the surrounding areas reduce.
"Ohhh yes, I can actually feel it now," Laden muttered.
Laden focused on that connection and tried his best to widen the thin line that was currently joining them so he could summon the presence.
He felt the connection slowly grow stronger and the presence of that man beco very prominent. A few seconds later, Laden heard the familiar voice co to his ears.
"Great one, you called upon this lowly one again," Jones said in a humble voice.
Trying his best not to appear jittery or impatient, Laden kept quiet for a while, adding to his layer of mysteries.
"One of my blessings said he t you," Laden finally said after a bit of ti.
Despite not seeing the man’s expression, Laden could notice Jones’s eyes widened in shock.
"He is your blessing, Lord?" Jones asked.
Laden was about to open his mouth to say yes when he suddenly realized that would be against his proclaid status, so he decided to remain quiet.
Jones noticed the lack of response, and beads of sweat slowly ford on his head before he quickly opened his mouth to add.
"I am sorry... Great one, this lowly figure doesn’t dare question you"
"I only paid him special attention because I could faintly feel your exalted aura on him," Jones said again.
While listening to all of Jones’ words, Laden couldn’t help but smile from ear to ear, but he made sure not to be sure of it in his words.
"It seems like you have forgotten yourself," Laden responded.
"This lowly one is very sorry," Jones apologized again.
"I called you here because my blessing gave so information about you, and I think you are worthy of the job," Laden said with a cold tone.
"Yes, lord, I am ready and worthy for anything," Jones responded.
"Protect my Blessed, but make sure you don’t affect his growth in any way, and he mustn’t realize," Laden said.
Before Jones could respond, Laden suddenly felt the ground shake violently beneath his feet, almost making him shout out.
He did everything he could to stabilize himself without alerting Jones. Realizing that the situation was growing serious, he quickly terminated the connection without saying a single word.
Having successfully cancelled the connection, Laden finally regained the freedom to speak again; he shouted out.
"What the hell is going on?" Laden cursed.
He looked around profusely, hoping to see the source of the sudden earthquake, when sothing caught his eye.
From the side, Laden could notice sothing like a rock elevating far in the distance; it looked rough and mostly detached from the rest.
Despite the rock having the sa general appearance as the others, Laden could notice certain differences.
The higher the rock grew, the more Laden realized that sothing was wrong with his previous observation.
"That’s not a rock, is it?" Laden said.
"It’s a head," Pri said.
Laden’s heart almost leaped out of his chest when he heard Pri’s words; he couldn’t fathom what he was seeing. But he couldn’t deny it; on a closer look, it actually looked like a head.
"How the hell is that possible?" he said again.
"Am I on a spirit beast’s back?" Laden thought.
He hadn’t finished processing that point when another one arose from his imdiate surroundings.
The tiny pits of larva that surrounded Laden were slowly overflowing and spilling towards the dark rock and covering everything around him and slowly encroaching on Laden’s point.
Laden looked all around him, hoping to find an escape route, but there was none. The larva had arrived.
"Haaaaaa," Laden shouted in pain as the hot lava ca into contact with his leg.
And it didn’t stop there; from his legs the larva covered his whole body, and then everything went blank.
Back in the wilderness, Laden opened his eyes wide as sweat ford all over his head and back, a single thought dominating his mind.
"Spirits can get so big," he muttered in absolute fear.
