Since the shadow wasn’t willing to actually tell us anything, then letting it run its mouth was nothing more than waiting for disaster.
The shadow had shown that it had the ability to control people, which was why it had controlled Angil to cause this ss in the land of the gnos in the first place.
As such, it was best to seal it away as soon as possible so it could no longer cause any trouble.
The shadow also seed to recognize this, so it said, "It’s a waste of your ti and abilities to remain in your current position. Following those false gods is not the path for soone like you."
"False gods? Is that what the God of Destruction told you? But what is a real god then when even the God of Destruction was sothing that ca from the God of Creation?"
The shadow gave a snort before saying, "That is all false. The God of Creation is nothing more than a fraud that’s tricked everyone into believing this false tale. The truth is that our lord God of Destruction is the end. The end of all things is destruction in the end and only in destruction will we be able to create a new world for all to live in. That is the only path to salvation."
"So you’re saying that your goal is to destroy to create?" I asked in a calm voice.
"That’s right. This world is nothing more than a lie that was created by that false God of Creation. Only when it is destroyed will the true world be created." The shadow said in a fanatical voice.
Hearing this, the others around revealed worried looks as if they were afraid that I was falling for this.
But I just calmly asked, "What do you hope to gain from this? What are you looking for in this new world?"
The shadow finally seed to calm down from its fanaticism.
It seed like the shadow had fallen into deep thought, as if it was reminiscing over sothing with the way that it paused.
After a long silence, the shadow finally said, "This false world is cruel. There were things that shouldn’t have existed, but this false world allowed it to happen. That is why we need to be saved."
There was almost a tone of exhaustion that was in the shadow’s voice when it said this.
It was very clear that there was a story behind the shadow, one that was most likely related to why it believed in the God of Destruction so much.
But this was not sothing that the shadow could be convinced of.
At this point, the shadow was already deeply fooled by the God of Destruction and it wouldn’t matter what anyone said to it. Even if soone were to convince them of sothing else, it wasn’t as if they would actually listen.
They had been tainted to the point where they would only believe in one thing.
They would only believe in the lies that the God of Destruction had told them.
Since there was no point in trying to convince them...
"I hope that you will find peace." I said before raising the Staff of Earth to point at the shadow.
The shadow looked back at , but it didn’t resist this ti.
It was as if the shadow knew that it didn’t matter what it did, it wouldn’t actually be able to do anything to .
But in a way, it was almost as if the shadow was looking at with pity.
And it said one last ti, "This world is not what it’s supposed to be. You already know in your heart, so don’t be fooled by them."
"Unfortunately, I like this world and the people that I’ve found in it. So even if there is a world that is created after this world is destroyed, I won’t have the things that I care for there." I said with a shake of my head.
"You can have them and more in this new world. You will have the chance to create the world as you wish as long as you turn to the side of the God of Destruction."
But even though the shadow said this, I just didn’t listen as I used the power of the Staff of Earth to close the cage around the shadow.
When silence fell, there were strange looks that were cast in my direction, but I just ignored everyone that was staring at .
Instead, I was looking at the cage that the shadow had been trapped in with a strange look of my own.
The shadow kept talking about how creation would co after destruction.
Was this just sothing that the God of Destruction told the shadow to trick it into becoming one of the Apostles of Destruction?
Or was this sothing that the God of Destruction actually believed?
The God of Destruction was created as the god in charge of destroying things. This was to create a balance in the universe since things couldn’t be infinitely created, there was a limit to how much the God of Creation could create.
That was why a God of Destruction was needed to balance out the creations of the God of Creation.
But for the Apostle of Destruction to say sothing like this, it really seed like the God of Destruction believed that it would be able to beco the God of Creation after it destroyed everything.
The more that I thought about this, the more that I felt that I really didn’t know anything.
The gods had kept in the dark the entire ti and there was the fact that they were planning to use as a scapegoat...
Taking a deep breath, I turned back to look at the others and said, "Let’s go save the ones that are still trapped inside of the barrier."
