Before he had left the sect to start his act, he had hidden these so that he could use them again. They were far too valuable after all, and so far, it didn’t seem like anyone had noticed their disappearance.
As he sat, the stillness around him was soothing, but his mind was anything but calm.
He needed to refine his cultivation, to gather the Soul Qi required to truly master the Undying Destiny Severance technique. But it wasn’t enough to simply focus on the thod; he had to harness the Eight Emotions Energy—those strange wisps of power tied to emotions, like the one that had co to him before.
He closed his eyes and breathed deeply, centering himself. The mories of the pain, the struggle for survival, and the loss he had experienced rushed back to him. The ache in his heart flared briefly, and the darkness of sorrow began to seep into his thoughts.
As his emotions swirled, sothing strange happened. A wisp of dark blue energy appeared before him, swirling gently in the air. The mont Han Yu saw it, his body reacted instinctively, reaching out for it. The wisp entered his body with ease, and he felt a wave of sadness wash over him, filling his heart with a fleeting, but intense emotion.

He needed more.
And then, almost as if in response to his will, more wisps appeared before him. This ti, they were different.
A series of grey wisps swirled into existence, their color a dull, almost lifeless shade. They were tinged with an emotion that Han Yu instantly recognized—surprise. As the grey wisps entered his body, he felt an unexpected jolt of shock, as if his very soul had been taken aback. The energy from these wisps wasn’t as smooth to absorb. It seed like a chaotic, erratic force, one that made his heart race in confusion.

’Where did these co from?’ He wondered. ’Since this is from the emotion of surprise... Is this due to my return?’ He realized.
He struggled to refine these, but the surprise emotion energy made the process difficult. His focus wavered, and his mind raced as he tried to make sense of it all. Still, he pressed on, compressing the grey energy into small dots.
They slowly condensed, but the surprise lingered in his chest. It was a strange feeling—one that seed to echo in his soul, unsettling but also strangely empowering.
Just as he thought he couldn’t handle any more, a few wisps of yellow energy materialized. These were brighter, warm and vibrant with joy. Han Yu hesitated for a mont before reaching out for them.
As the yellow wisps entered his body, a feeling of elation flooded his being. His heart felt lighter, the weight of sorrow and surprise montarily lifted. The joy energy was like a burst of sunlight in the dark corner of his soul.
’I guess soone is happy due to my return.’ Han Yu smiled.
The joy wasn’t as intense as the sadness or the surprise, but it was steady, calming. He felt the warmth spread through him as he absorbed the yellow wisps, transforming them into Soul Qi with ease. The process felt far smoother, and as he refined the joy energy, his soul felt more solid, more complete. It was a peaceful, satisfying sensation—one that he knew would be beneficial.
And once he had obtained the Yellow energy of joy, no more Dark Blue energy of sadness ca, making Han Yu think that these might be from Li i as well. He didn’t think there would be anyone else happy about his return.
’Maybe Fatty Kui number two... But I don’t know if he learned of my death and return. I can’t differentiate the sources anyways.’ Han Yu thought.
Han Yu didn’t know how many wisps had co to him—how many emotions he had experienced in such a short span of ti. His soul felt fuller than before, a swirling mix of dark blue, grey, and yellow energies. Each type of emotion seed to affect him differently, yet together they were shaping sothing new, sothing powerful.
He sat in the clearing for a long while, still absorbing the energy, still refining it into Soul Qi. It was slow work, but it was progress. With each passing mont, he could feel his connection to the Soul Qi growing stronger, his soul becoming more attuned to the Undying Destiny Severance technique.
After a ti, Han Yu opened his eyes and exhaled deeply, feeling the strange mixture of emotions still lingering within him. His body felt different, more powerful than before. The energy had infused him, and he knew it would be the foundation for his next steps.
