Having controlled the spirit Qi easily, Han Yu decided to take it a step further.

SHUA

Han Yu focused a bit more and soon managed to release a single wisp of Spirit Qi that hovered over his finger.

"That was easy." Han Yu was a bit surprised.

He didn’t know if he really was a genius or if this was just the effect of his newly forged body that allowed perfect control. After all, heavens knew just what kind of precious materials he had consud in the creation of this body.

’Now that I think of it... have they not realized the missing items?’ Han Yu was bit confused.

He knew just how strict the restrictions of the vault were. He had heard many past instances of people trying to steal things from there and getting caught instantly.

Most were unable to break into the vault in the first place, and those that managed to get in through so ans, found it hard to take out the items. Either the arrays locked them in, or they were detected upon leaving.

As soon as they were detected, hundreds of guard disciples and elders were arrive, arresting them instantly.

’How did I manage to leave? And do they not check the inventory?’ he wondered.

It had already been more than fifteen days since he had left the vault and by now he would sure they would’ve at least found the missing items. While he didn’t know if his involvent would be known, he wasn’t much worried about it.

’After all, I’ve been dead all this ti...’ he had an impeccable alibi.

Besides even if he were alive, no elder was dumb enough to believe a tenth stage body tempering realm servant would be able to enter the vault.

From the information he knew, only those at the Core Condensation realm had managed to get in and even they had so help in the form of keys or access to the arrays so that they could get in.

Sigh

"No use in thinking too much about it. I’ll just stress and distract myself. I should instead focus on what I can do right now." Han Yu thought to himself and focused on the wisp of spirit qi that was still floating above his finger without needing much control.

Han Yu’s thoughts spiraled further as he absentmindedly manipulated the wisp of Spirit Qi above his fingertip, causing it to swirl and spiral like a tiny dragon dancing in the air.

"Well, no point worrying about it," he muttered, flicking the wisp away. It dissipated into the air, leaving a faint shimr behind.

He sat down cross-legged on the stone floor of his courtyard, letting the morning breeze rustle the bamboo nearby. The sun had just begun to peek over the horizon, painting golden streaks across the tiled roofs.

It was peaceful—too peaceful.

"I need to test Soul Qi next," he said to himself. "If it’s anything like Spirit Qi, maybe I can sense it with ditation."

He closed his eyes and began to steady his breathing. He followed the sa process he used when gathering Spirit Qi—calming his thoughts, aligning his ridians, and focusing his intent inward. But this ti, he didn’t direct his awareness to his Dantian.

Instead, he focused on the region between his brows—the seat of the soul, that he now knew was called the Soul Sea.

Minutes passed.

Stillness.

Then...

TSSSSSS

A faint vibration surged through his mind, like the ripple of a pebble striking the surface of a vast lake. His eyes snapped open for a mont. The world around him looked different—sharper. The colors of the flowers beside him appeared more vivid, the chirping of distant birds sounded clearer, almost musical. He closed his eyes again and re-focused.

And then he felt it.

A thin strand of grey-blue energy coiled in the depth of his mind like a sleeping serpent. It wasn’t wild or overflowing like Spirit Qi—it was restrained, coiled tightly, as if waiting for a command.

He had seen them before when he was refining them but seeing them out in the real world was a different thing.

Han Yu reached out with his will.

The strand twitched.

He concentrated harder, sweat starting to bead on his forehead. The wisp responded, sluggish at first, but gradually moving toward his command. It floated upward, like a ribbon rising through a still pond, and eventually erged above his forehead—a thin stream of grey-blue mist that hovered and shimred with ethereal light.

"This is Soul Qi?" he gasped.

It didn’t feel like Spirit Qi. It was heavier, not in mass but in sensation. There was a depth to it, like it contained layers of aning and emotion. He watched it curl around itself before it faded back into his Soul Sea.

Han Yu opened his eyes, panting lightly.

That single strand had taken more out of him than controlling ten wisps of Spirit Qi. But it was also far more potent. He could feel it—this single wisp could pierce through a beast’s hide or an enemy’s weak spot like a blade of willpower. And that was just the surface of its potential.

"So it’s not about quantity, but quality," he murmured.

He looked down at his palms and clenched his fists. "If I can master this... I might really surpass all of them."

A knock sounded at the courtyard gate.

TAP TAP TAP

Han Yu froze, his heart skipping. He didn’t sense anyone nearby—was he so deep in ditation that he missed their approach?

"Han Yu?" a calm voice called out. "It’s , Wu Huian."

Relieved, Han Yu stood and brushed off his robes before opening the gate.

Wu Huian stepped in with a warm smile, holding a pouch in one hand. "You didn’t co to the Healing Hall today. Elder Nie Jing said to give you these." She handed him the pouch. "They’re supplents and recovery pills. You’re still recovering, even if you act tough."

Han Yu chuckled and took the pouch. "Thanks, Senior Sister. I guess I did get a bit carried away."
