Three days later, everyone erged from the vast mountain range and saw an open plain ahead. A mountain camp was on standby, and upon seeing everyone arriving, they offered hot water, cotton coats, and escorted everyone to continue forward. After a day and a night, they reached the border. To everyone's surprise, the Commander along with Group Army officers were there for the rescue, treating everyone like heroes. Luo Zheng, however, quietly boarded a transport helicopter.

The helicopter was piloted by a mber of the National Blade Team, and to Luo Zheng's surprise, the military doctor Wu Miao was also there, with equipnt and an assistant. Once the helicopter ascended into the sky for its cruise, she began to check Luo Zheng's body, hooking up an IV, her face full of worry.

Luo Zheng didn't even have a chance to say goodbye to everyone, thinking about the secretive nature of the National Blade Special Combat Team, such arrangents seed reasonable. Seeing Wu Miao's worried expression, he couldn't help asking, "What's wrong?"

"Several parts of your body have frostbite, you need bed rest. I hope that after you return, you will cooperate with my treatnt and not leave the infirmary for three days," said Wu Miao with a serious expression.

"It's just frostbite, a minor issue," said Luo Zheng, who was more concerned with Lan Xue's safety than his own injuries and said nonchalantly while closing his eyes to rest. He soon fell into a dream. After continuous combat, Luo Zheng had expended a great deal of energy and physical strength. At this mont, completely relaxed, his body suddenly slackened.

Looking at Luo Zheng sleeping like an infant, Wu Miao's heart ached inexplicably. It was a very strange feeling, one she had never felt before. She stared intently at Luo Zheng's dirty, unrecognizable face and felt her own face grow hot. Quickly turning away, she looked out the window, her heart pounding.

After a while, Wu Miao cald her flustered heart down and looked at Luo Zheng again, her eyes conveying admiration. But rembering the life-and-death attachnt between Luo Zheng and Lan Xue, her just-settled complexion again turned pale and bitter. Turning back towards the window, she silently warned herself that this feeling must not take root.

However, human emotions are quite peculiar, Wu Miao realized she had developed a fondness for Luo Zheng and also recognized that it was dood. Trying not to think about him, a flood of thoughts nonetheless surged in. From the first day she saw Luo Zheng, to observing his training, and everything that followed, Wu Miao suddenly found she had started to care about him.

"This is trouble," Wu Miao sighed to herself. There were many in the base more outstanding than Luo Zheng, and the line of his pursuers was long. Wu Miao couldn't understand how she had developed a liking for Luo Zheng. Though the feeling was still faint and without an outco, she didn't know what she would do if it were to develop further.

Thinking of Luo Zheng and Lan Xue's tales of mutual support in life and death, Wu Miao's heart was full of envy. As a woman, what more could she ask for than to have such a man's protection for a lifeti? Lost in thought, she was jolted by her assistant's surprised shout and, with a flush of embarrassnt, as if caught by a parent doing sothing wrong, she asked in a fluster, "What's wrong?"

"Are you okay?" the assistant asked curiously.

"I'm fine, just a bit airsick," Wu Miao made up an excuse to get past the inquiry, and seeing Luo Zheng asleep, she was infuriated to the point of wanting to kick him a couple of tis to vent her frustration over this jerk who had unintentionally stolen her heart. But upon seeing how Luo Zheng was sleeping, as if he hadn't slept in days, her heartache returned, and the resentnt vanished without a trace.

The helicopter roared forward, and Wu Miao gazed outside, lost in thoughts. Before she knew it, the helicopter landed at the National Blade Special Combat Team Base. dical staff ca with a stretcher to carefully lift the sleeping Luo Zheng onto it and push him towards the infirmary. Captain Wu, watching the sleeping Luo Zheng, asked Wu Miao with a wry smile, "How is he doing?"

"No gunshot wounds, but the frostbite is severe, he needs more than three days of bed rest," Wu Miao reported truthfully.

"Three days? That severe? He must be treated quickly, we absolutely cannot have any sequelae," Captain Wu's face flashed with concern, and he hurriedly sent Wu Miao on her way.

Wu Miao arrived at the infirmary and gestured for everyone to cut open Luo Zheng's clothes with scissors. It was then that they discovered the bullet-resistant vest and the wolf fur inside Luo Zheng's military boots. Wu Miao cursed the jerk for being so afraid of death and directed everyone to help. After removing all his clothes, Luo Zheng's muscular build and frostbitten areas were exposed.

Watching Luo Zheng's solid muscles, Wu Miao felt a sudden rush of heat without reason, her face flushed. As a military doctor, Wu Miao had seen many soldiers' physiques, so even more robust than Luo Zheng's, but she never felt anything. Annoyed, she cursed to herself and took a deep breath before ticulously beginning the examination. With the help of her assistants, she applied ointnt to the frostbitten areas and tucked him under the covers before pushing the bed into the hospital room.

In a daze, Luo Zheng felt soone applying dicine to him. He figured he might have returned to the base, but was too exhausted to move, so he continued to sleep deeply. He didn't know how much ti had passed when he finally woke up to find darkness outside while the room appeared to be blanketed in white, as if it were a snow-covered mountainous region.

Luo Zheng was startled, and upon closer inspection, he realized he was in a hospital room, stark naked under the covers on the bed. Shaking his head to clear the confusion, he carefully felt his body and was overjoyed to find that the previously frostbitten areas were fine, and his body was in very good condition without any residual damage.

At that mont, the door opened and soone ca in—it was Wu Miao. Wu Miao hadn't expected Luo Zheng to wake up so quickly and asked in astonishnt, "You're awake? How do you feel?"

"I'm fine now, thank you," Luo Zheng said gratefully.

"Don't ntion it, it's our job," Wu Miao said indifferently, about to lift the covers to check when she noticed Luo Zheng's panicked eyes and his shy gesture of holding onto the covers. She paused, then laughed and said, "What are you afraid of? I'm a doctor. How would I know you're better if I don't look?"

"It's a different matter. I'm feeling a lot better now. There's no need to trouble you," Luo Zheng said awkwardly.

"It's the sa thing. I've already seen your whole body when applying the dicine. Looking again won't make a difference. What, are you feeling shy?" Wu Miao teased without reason, seeing Luo Zheng's flustered eyes, she felt a sudden release of the frustration in her heart and taunted, "You're not afraid to face death, but you're afraid to be seen by ?"

"Like I said, it's a different matter," Luo Zheng insisted, clutching the blanket tighter, his face growing red.

Seeing Luo Zheng in this state, Wu Miao's mood beca quite cheerful, she laughed and said, "So, you won't let look? Then you're not allowed to be discharged."

The thought of being discharged reminded Luo Zheng of Lan Xue, and his face grew serious. He relaxed his arms and said, "Go ahead and look, you're the doctor. If there's nothing wrong, I'll be discharged."

Noting the sudden change in Luo Zheng's attitude, Wu Miao was curious, but she still lifted the covers and began a thorough examination, only to discover that the frostbite on Luo Zheng's body had completely healed—recovery had been too fast, hadn't it? Suddenly recalling Luo Zheng's exceptional constitution, it all made sense to her, and she casually asked, "Why are you in such a rush to be discharged?"

"Lan Xue is in danger, I must hurry there," Luo Zheng answered earnestly.

"Fine, fine, you can be discharged right away," Wu Miao said irritably, turning around and walking out.

"Uh?" Luo Zheng watched the scene in surprise, sowhat confused. Who had he offended?
