Snow Leopard and Ghost Hand, taken by surprise by the charge, knew sothing had gone wrong and turned to run. One of them threw himself to the ground upon hearing an explosion behind them, quickly curled up, covered his head, and broke out into a cold sweat. After waiting a while, he felt his body was unhard, still alive, and couldn't help but heave a long sigh of relief, a sense of fortunate survival washing over him.

Everyone rushed forward and saw Luo Zheng administering a coup de grâce to the bodies, understanding his actions and coming over to help. Not a single one of the dozen or so n survived. Lan Xue scolded Ghost Hand and Snow Leopard, "How could you two be so reckless? You nearly lost your lives."

"Don't bla them," Luo Zheng quickly intervened to diffuse the situation, saying, "Who knows what can happen on the battlefield? Anything is possible. It's also my fault. Along the way, everyone has been holding back a fire, finally getting a chance to kill freely and vent their frustrations. It's just that we couldn't stop ourselves in ti; it's nothing serious now."

"Thank you, Captain, for your concern. It won't happen again," Ghost Hand quickly apologized with gratitude in his eyes, understanding amongst everyone clear as day. Snow Leopard also quickly took a stand and thanked Luo Zheng. If it weren't for Luo Zheng's tily shot, the two of them would have truly been done for.

"Be careful, I don't want anyone getting hurt," Lan Xue cautioned.

Luo Zheng, looking at the calm appearance of the Wild Wolf rcenary Group's headquarters, frowned in perplexity. After pondering for a mont, he suddenly said, "Don't you find it strange? We've been fighting like this here, yet why has there been no reaction from inside? Could it be that there's no one else inside?"

"That's not impossible. Earlier, thirty-odd people left, and we took down about a dozen. Probably these fifteen or so were left to hold the fort. With the minefield providing cover, these few could hold off an attack for so ti, and by then the Wolf King could easily reorganize troops for reinforcent. After all, the combat capabilities of international teams are not weak. Without showing his trump cards, it's very unlikely for the Wolf King to win," Mountain Eagle cautiously added.

"I'll take a look; you guys provide cover afterwards," decided Luo Zheng resolutely.

Everyone did not stop him, curious about the mysterious situation. The team quickly ran forward. The path had already been trampled by a herd of zebras, and they only had to follow the route taken by the zebras. Luo Zheng led the way with Lan Xue following, Mountain Eagle and Snow Leopard holding the rear, and Ghost Hand cautiously watching both sides, everyone maintaining a hundred-ter distance from Luo Zheng.

Soon, Luo Zheng reached the vicinity of the cluster of buildings. The low huts were empty, evidently a decoy. After a cautious observation, he signalled everyone to stay put, then quickly dashed to the corner of a house, listening attentively. It was quiet all around, nothing but the wind.

"Did you find anything?" Lan Xue whispered into the headset.

"Nothing at all, the room is empty. I'm going in to take a look, cover ," Luo Zheng replied quietly, gently opening a wooden window, peered inside, and seeing nothing, he swiftly climbed in and walked toward the door.

Outside the door was a corridor with several other rooms along it, the buildings arranged in a concave shape. Luo Zheng dashed out of the room, listened at the door of another room for a while; it was silent. The door swung open with a light push, the room was empty, covered in dust, devoid of any furniture.

Checking the other rooms, they were also empty. Luo Zheng inspected each one until he reached the last house where he found an underground entrance, not very big, with a wooden ladder descending. He cautiously approached it, peering down to see a light below but no people. Surprised, Luo Zheng pulled out a grenade, removed the pin, and tossed it down.

"Boom." An explosion erupted, sending thick smoke billowing out. All was quiet below, without any response. Luo Zheng was startled. After the smoke cleared, just as he was about to descend, he heard Lan Xue's voice, "I've found an underground entrance, seems there's no one inside. I'm preparing to go down and check."

"Hold on, I'll be right over," Lan Xue said without hesitation, her tone resolute.

Luo Zheng had no choice but to wait for a mont. Once Lan Xue arrived, Luo Zheng signaled her to be on guard as he carefully descended. The space below wasn't deep, but it was vast and spacious, with a clean floor, furnished with various pieces of furniture, fitness equipnt, and entertainnt facilities like billiards. There was no one around.

"Huh?" Luo Zheng exclaid in surprise, glancing back at Lan Xue. Lan Xue also looked puzzled as she turned on the cara on her helt to record everything and store the footage.

Luo Zheng noticed several hidden rooms nearby and rushed over, kicking the door open. Inside was a bed, a television, and many other household items—all indicative of soone living there. Yet, no one was present. Luo Zheng kicked open the other hidden rooms. Finding them all the sa, he looked at Lan Xue in surprise and said, "It seems the Wolf King has escaped."

"That's very likely. Just wait a mont," Lan Xue responded. She went from room to room, recording with the cara on her helt while occasionally opening boxes and cabinets to check their contents. Finding nothing of value, Luo Zheng also helped. After checking several rooms with his helt cara activated, Luo Zheng ca across a room he hadn't opened yet and kicked the door in, discovering a diesel generator set inside.

"There's nothing of value. Let's blow this place up," Luo Zheng suggested.

"That sounds good. This place looks like it could house fifty or sixty people. I don't think it's their headquarters. Could our intelligence have been wrong?" Lan Xue agreed.

After scanning the area again, and seeing only essential living items and not even a single book, Luo Zheng comnted, "It seems more like a training base. With a cunning rabbit, three burrows. Never mind, let's evacuate first. I expect the Wolf King's n are on their way. Huh?" As he spoke, Luo Zheng's gaze fell on a wall with a seam that seed frequently used. He walked over and started tapping on the wall.

"There should be a hidden room. Let's find it," Lan Xue whispered. She pushed hard, and the wall began to move, surprising Luo Zheng who imdiately drew his pistol and stood guard. Seeing no danger, he signaled Lan Xue to push harder. She exerted force, and the wall began to rotate, revealing a revolving door.

As the door opened, Luo Zheng peered inside to see a large storage room, walls and floor covered with weapons. Lan Xue exclaid in surprise, "So many weapons, enough to equip an entire group. Quickly, blow up this place!" She dashed inside, shouting, "You keep watch outside. Give two minutes."

Luo Zheng knew Lan Xue was preparing to make a simple tid bomb, which was easy to assemble with all the materials inside. He hurriedly rushed outside and hid in an adjacent room, keeping guard as he shouted through the headset, "Guys, any sign of the enemy?"

"No," everyone replied in unison.

Just as the ssages ca through, Ghost Hand suddenly cried out, "Not good, a whole crowd of people are charging this way."
