"Report, no problems, the credentials are complete and legal," Zheng Duo said quickly after hanging up the phone.
Luo Zheng looked toward Lan Xing, who also nodded indicating no issues. A look of puzzlent appeared on Luo Zheng's face—on one side, the fire spread from the explosion, on the other, the police had reported no problems. Luo Zheng's eyebrows knitted slightly, and after a mont of thought, he imdiately said, "Let them through, arrange soone to lead the way, do not get close to the office building, go around, all security personnel be on alert, and if anything suspicious is found, open fire imdiately."
"Understood," Zheng Duo imdiately communicated the instructions via headset remotely. To avoid any mishaps, Luo Zheng and others used different headsets than Zheng Duo and the security personnel, so Luo Zheng's orders could only be relayed through Zheng Duo.
Lan Xing saw that Luo Zheng handled the situation aptly and esteed him even more, smiling, "You're quite cautious."
"I have no choice; on the battlefield, being anything less than cautious only leads to one outco. Help keep an eye on all surveillance, and notify imdiately if you spot any discrepancies. The enemy would only have one way to carry out sabotage—that's by getting near the office building. You must be vigilant about that," Luo Zheng earnestly cautioned.
Under the guidance of a motorcycle-riding security officer, the police cars and fire engines bypassed the office building and headed straight for the staff residential area. Watching the convoy gradually moving away, without spotting any doubtful elents, Luo Zheng couldn't feel happy. Lan Xing, on the other hand, smiled and said, "Don't rule out the possibility that the enemy is deliberately creating chaos and then blending into the convoy to infiltrate. But we are fortified around the office building; they can't do anything but play along with the convoy and help us put out the fire."
"Makes sense. As long as we guard the office building, nobody can touch us," said Zheng Duo, relieved, smiling.
Luo Zheng of course knew it wasn't that simple. If ninjas were involved, they could impersonate police or firefighter officers to infiltrate. Once inside, removing their uniforms would allow them to blend into the crowd, find a spot to hide, and wait for the right mont to act. Even though he wouldn't be fooled easily, ninjas still managed to infiltrate. With a grim face, he imdiately commanded, "Captain Zheng, quickly assemble the security personnel to encircle the office building in a ring, place more people towards the staff residential area. Tell them anyone not maintaining a fifty-ters distance from the office building will be killed without rcy."
"Understood," Zheng Duo, realizing sothing was amiss, with a solemn face, promptly responded and issued the commands.
Shortly after, through the surveillance screen, Luo Zheng saw a large group of ard guards form a circular periter fifty ters from the office building, tightly securing it. He breathed a sigh of relief. Although a passive strategy, circular defense is the strongest form; even ninjas would find it difficult to infiltrate. Luo Zheng spoke through the headset, "Sniper, focus on defending the side of the staff residential area. Fifty ters is the line of life. Any problems?"
"No problem," Mountain Eagle replied confidently. Positioned at a height with a wide view and assisted by several spotters with a Type 88 sniper rifle in hand, if they couldn't hold the line, Mountain Eagle thought he would have no face to live.
Luo Zheng was very confident in Mountain Eagle's sniping skills, eased a bit and continued to watch the screen intently, braced for action. However, the sense of unease in his mind did not dissipate, making Luo Zheng agitated, involuntarily grabbing the captured black long sword, his arms' veins bulging, face full of the eagerness to fight.
"Snow Leopard Brothers, any findings?" Luo Zheng shouted through the headset.
"I'm at the explosion site, no discoveries for now," Snow Leopard replied quietly.
"Check the number of police imdiately. If an opponent is impersonating a police officer to infiltrate, he should have already left the explosion site by now. Be careful," Luo Zheng cautioned.
"Understood," Snow Leopard replied, signaling the end of the conversation.
Luo Zheng stared intently at the screen, his sharp eyes shimring with a cold murderous intent, thoroughly enraged by these Japanese invaders. His breathing grew rapid. Shortly after, Snow Leopard's voice ca through the headset, missing one firefighter, and the team leader was definitely confird with no clues whatsoever.
"They really did co," Luo Zheng said icily, his guess proven correct. He quickly added, "Quick, imdiately investigate the vicinity. The enemy's target is the office building — not the explosion site. Leave that to the police to handle. Report back imdiately with any developnts. Don't make a move first, and don't forget there are still two Ninja; we have only spotted one so far, and the other is unaccounted for."
"Understood," Snow Leopard replied coldly.
After ending the call, Luo Zheng gazed thoughtfully at the security personnel on the screen. Two Ninja had been identified; how would the other one enter? A sudden insight struck him—could he have already infiltrated among the security staff? Luo Zheng found this idea sowhat unbelievable and dismissed it, but then he was startled to see soone quickly glance back at the direction of the office building, standing out awkwardly in the rows of teams searching forward, causing him to grow deeply suspicious.
It was normal for a guard to look around as part of searching for the enemy, but looking back was not normal. There were no enemies behind, so there was no need to look back, right? Luo Zheng's expression turned icy as he coldly said to Lan Xing, "Imdiately check the number of security personnel."
"Okay," Lan Xing replied, casting a puzzled glance at Luo Zheng, but without further questions, he started checking. The security personnel were all within the range of the surveillance caras; everything was clear, and the numbers quickly tallied, matching perfectly with the original count, not one more, not one less, which Lan Xing reported back exactly, looking curiously at Luo Zheng.
"Not one more, not one less?" Luo Zheng pondered for a while, still uneasy, he pointed at a person on the screen and said, "Quick, help check this person."
"Oh? His back is not very familiar. Maybe he was recently transferred?" Zheng Duo said, surprised, as he looked at the screen.
Luo Zheng didn't reply. He watched as Lan Xing's slim white fingers danced on the keyboard like a lively elf, very quickly; the screen was continuously flashing with portraits, then skull scans. Each person's skull is unique, using the skull to determine identity was as secure as with DNA.
The guard's skull information had already been collected by Lan Xing and stored in the database. The scan quickly resulted — there was no match. aning, this person was not in the database, an extra mber. Astonished, Lan Xing looked at Luo Zheng, not expecting his observation to be so sharp, to discern this detail on his own. He couldn't help but praise, "You're too impressive, no wonder my sister is so devoted to you."
"Grew up hunting, got used to observing," Luo Zheng said offhandedly, looking at the other person, then asked through the headset, "Sniper, get ready to eliminate the target."
"Target's location," Mountain Eagle said calmly.
"Hold on," Luo Zheng replied casually, turning to Lan Xing with urgency, "Quick, zoom in on this person imdiately, focus on his feet."
