"This surprise attack, Luo Zheng arranged for n to block the pursuing Japanese pirates and first release Poison Smoke, which only produced a fla and no noise, so it wouldn't alert the people underground. The patrolling n who ca to investigate were overwheld by the Poison Smoke. Once that was mostly done, logs and Poison Smoke were released together to increase the potency and spread of the smoke. The logs also triggered Land Mines to ignite the forest and clear out the last obstacles for the assault.

The plan was simple, but the timing of the attack was chosen well, right when everyone was in a deep sleep. By the ti they reacted, a great number had already been subdued by the Poison Smoke. With the threat of Poison Smoke, the Japanese within the underground base dared not move even though they knew they were being attacked. Once the smoke had cleared and they erged, the base had already been occupied, and the dozen or so who ca out were killed by a barrage of bullets, completely losing the initiative.

The native warriors had never fought such a smooth battle and vindicated their humiliation. Thirty years of hatred had been avenged in one morning. Furious and eager to rush into the underground base to eradicate the last of the enemy, if not for Luo Zheng's continuous killing leading everyone to victory and his high-established prestige, it would have been difficult to suppress these furiously revengeful natives.

Hook looked rather hesitant as he watched Luo Zheng, fearing Luo Zheng wouldn't let everyone go down to kill the enemy. To the natives, death was a release, and no one feared it, as long as they could avenge their ancestors. Luo Zheng understood Hook and others' thoughts and scolded irritably, "Kill, kill, that's all you know! Use your head for once. There are still four to five hundred people below, and the situation is unclear. If you go down like this, isn't it asking for death?"

Knowing Luo Zheng cared for his well-being, Hook took a deep breath, forced himself to calm down, and quickly asked, "Do you have a plan then?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Luo Zheng said coldly. Seeing that Hook still didn't understand, he scolded, "Use the Poison Smoke."

"Eh?" Hook was taken aback but then his eyes lit up, and he excitedly shouted sothing. The native warriors instantly howled and dispersed to grab the unused poisonous grass.

Lan Xue felt sowhat sorry for the people in the underground base, she glanced at Luo Zheng and said softly, "Your vicious plan is quite practical, though."

"The war is about to end. The fewer who die, the better. They have it tough too." Luo Zheng watched the excited natives run to grab the poisonous grass and then looked at the remaining natives, roughly counting a loss of fifty to sixty people, likely those who had fallen while intercepting the Japanese in the dense forest. Nearly a hundred fully ard Japanese were formidable, and if it weren't for the distraction of the attack on the base and Hook leading reinforcents, the losses would have been greater.

"Those above, listen up, we surrender." Soone from the underground base shouted, using an international common language.

Luo Zheng was startled, looked at Hook, whose face turned cold as he imdiately shook his head. Deep hatred and enmity could not allow for surrender. Luo Zheng couldn't help but smile and said, "What did he just shout? Did you understand?"

Hook got the hint, nodded knowingly, and said, "I don't understand Japanese." Seeing Luo Zheng point at the entrance, he stepped forward and shouted loudly, "What's all the noise? I don't understand a word you're saying."

Luo Zheng and the others stifled their laughter, watchfully eyeing the underground entrance. Though everyone clearly spoke the international common language, they pretended not to understand, their attitude clear without words. At this mont, Luo Zheng suddenly saw a grenade thrown up from below. Startled, he shot at the grenade, still in the base, detonating it and warned, "Watch out for the grenades!""

"Boom." The grenade had not been fully thrown out when it exploded, smoke rolling. Luo Zheng, worried that those in the underground base might take advantage of the confusion, shouted loudly, "Mountain Eagle, Snow Leopard, maintain fire to block them, Ghost Hand, throw the explosives."

Everyone quickly reacted, securing the entrance with gunfire. Ghost Hand tossed in the button-shaped intense ti bomb, resulting in a trendous explosion. Thick black smoke billowed out of the entrance. Luo Zheng continued firing at the smoke-covered entrance to prevent anyone from sneaking out, while yelling, "Hook, quick, bring over the sandbags. We must block the entrance completely, get the machine gun over here."

"Understood." Hook responded loudly and imdiately set to work. The base was strewn with sandbags and machine gun emplacents. The natives were all very strong and in no ti, they brought over a large number of sandbags. At Luo Zheng's signal, they piled them around the entrance. Everyone retreated behind the bags, and Ghost Hand and the others took aim with the machine gun.

With the machine gun in place, Luo Zheng was not afraid of how many might charge out. He thought for a mont and pulled Hook, shouting, "Go get the broad leaves, the bigger the better. We'll use them to fan the air, to push the poison smoke into the underground base."

"Understood." Hook agreed, and people went to collect the leaves. The surrounding area was a prival forest, where broad leaves were plentiful. Suddenly, those who had gone to collect poisonous grass returned, and they ignited and tossed it into the underground base. Before the broad leaves arrived, Black Shadow crept out, as if soone was using a blower from inside.

Seeing this, Luo Zheng imdiately ordered a stop to the poison smoke deploynt. The enemy had a blower, and the broad leaves would be ineffective, unable to compete with it. Looking at the sandbags, he had a flash of insight and quickly shouted, "Hook, quickly, place wood across the entrance and block it with sandbags, don't let any poison smoke escape."

"Understood." Hook glanced around and noticed many buildings that had been burned, masterpieces created by Luo Zheng, Mountain Eagle, and Lan Xue using incendiary bombs, with many unburned pieces of wood remaining. He rushed over with n in tow, selecting the long pieces to carry back, placing them across the entrance, then stacking sandbags on top.

The entrance got smaller and smaller until only a small hole was left. The people inside the underground base realized what was happening and desperately fired their guns and used grenades. The sandbags swayed precariously. Imdiately, Luo Zheng threw in the button-shaped intense ti bombs to repel the enemy's offensive while ordering, "Quick, release the poison smoke."

Hook swiftly instructed everyone to light the poison smoke and start tossing it in small amounts inside. Luo Zheng, worried about a counterattack, periodically threw button-shaped intense ti bombs below, preventing the enemy's retaliation and buying ti for the poison smoke deploynt. As for the bullets that ca whizzing out, they were all blocked by the thick pile of sandbags.

Before long, the underground assault weakened. Luo Zheng breathed a sigh of relief and gestured for Hook to hurry. To ensure there were absolutely no slip-ups, he ordered Hook to throw down all the remaining poisonous grass, continuing for more than half an hour. Then they completely sealed off the entrance and shouted, "Everyone spread out and check if there's any smoke coming out anywhere."

Hook was taken aback but quickly caught on, relaying the command. Soon, they discovered more than a dozen spots where smoke was seeping through what must have been ventilation and light shafts of the underground base. Hearing this, Luo Zheng finally relaxed and said coldly, "Block the holes. We go down in ten minutes."

"Yes." Hook shouted excitedly, conveyed the order, and everyone excitedly took action. Lifting sandbags, they rushed over and sealed the ventilation shafts.
