In an extraordinary ti, extraordinary asures were called for, and Luo Zheng dispensed with politeness. He aid his gun at the people on the lifeboat and angrily barked, "I can't believe you're all grown n. Let make myself clear, every male over 18 and under 45 on the lifeboat, jump into the sea right now. The elderly, children, and won get on the lifeboat. Anyone who disobeys will be executed without rcy." A powerful aura of killing intent erupted, sending chills down everyone's spine.
"Jump off." Ghost Hand and the others roared in support, their killing intent soaring to the heavens.
The people on the lifeboat were overawed by Luo Zheng and the others and jumped into the sea one after another. Those who couldn't swim clung to the side of the boat with one hand, not daring to say a word of protest. The elderly, children, and won looked at Luo Zheng with so surprise, but soon soone ca to their senses, swam over, gave their life ring to one of the new arrivals, and climbed onto the lifeboat.
"The bad guys always get the job done." Seeing everyone cooperating, Luo Zheng muttered to himself with a wry smile.
"People are afraid of dying, you know. Besides, we're doing this for everyone's good and what we're asking is reasonable. No one would oppose. But be careful, there are still two assassins mixed in with the crowd, watch out for them shooting us in the back." Ghost Hand whispered to him.
"You three keep an eye out for the assassins." Lan Xue said softly, relieved to see that people on the lifeboat were cooperative. She looked around and didn't spot Song Yan, guessing he might have left with the hijackers. Frustrated but helpless,
Half an hour later, the lifeboat was filled with won, children, and the elderly. Wooden planks floated all over the sea, which people had picked up to use as makeshift oars. At Luo Zheng's signal, everyone rowed in a circle around the area but still no sign of Song Yan. Luo Zheng said softly, "He might have run off with the hijackers, or he might be hiding among the crowd. It's too dark to see clearly; we can only wait until daylight."
"Should we position the lifeboats on the periphery, with the others in the middle, to guard against sharks and the like?" Mountain Eagle suddenly spoke up.
"That's a good point." Luo Zheng was startled by the comnt. He looked up toward the distance, where, under the moonlight, a massive dark shadow lood; it was unclear what it was. He gestured for everyone to move forward, and after pondering for a mont, Lan Xue said, "It feels like a mountain. Could it be an island?"
"Possibly. It's too big to be a boat, and it's shaped like a mountain, so there's a good chance it's an island. Why don't we have everyone head to the island first? It's safer on land." Luo Zheng suggested, and everyone agreed. Luo Zheng stood up and called out to the group, "Folks, look over there. Is that an island?"
The tourists' vision was nothing compared to that of a sniper, and they could barely see a thing. No one spoke up; they just curiously looked toward Luo Zheng. Luo Zheng didn't want to waste ti explaining and shouted, "Everyone, follow my command and swim that way. It's too cold at night, and sharks might pass by. We'd better leave this place as soon as possible, and don't get separated. We can't see very far under the moonlight, and you'll certainly die if you get lost at sea."
As soon as everyone heard about sharks, their faces changed drastically. Whether there was an island ahead or not, they chose to believe there was and started moving. With the lifeboats on both sides and Luo Zheng's speedboat leading the way, everyone slowly swam forward. Faced with a desperate situation, they chose unity and silently followed.
Half an hour later, everyone saw that there indeed was an island ahead, and it was tall and large enough to accommodate everyone, which greatly lifted their spirits. They all swam harder, and with hope in sight, they tapped into their potential. Luo Zheng signaled Ghost Hand and the others to take the speedboat around to the back to cover their retreat, while he loudly urged everyone to hurry.
Everyone wasn't foolish; seeing Luo Zheng and the others originally could have gone ashore earlier, yet now they were actually detouring to the back, everyone suddenly believed more in their identity as police officers and also had more hope to survive. With one mind, they all swam quickly towards the island.
As Luo Zheng and his team took a detour to the back, they kept a vigilant watch on their surroundings. Before long, in the moonlight, everyone saw many huge fish approaching. Not knowing what species they were, they were suddenly terrified. Luo Zheng yelled at the top of his lungs, "Speed up, everyone, large fish are approaching, it's dangerous."
Once everyone heard that large fish were approaching, they imdiately thought of sharks, and their hearts were seized with terror. Driven by the desire to survive, everyone's potential burst forth anew, and they swam hard forward. Luo Zheng and his team watched the approaching school of fish with cold eyes, unsure of what they were and not daring to shoot rashly. After a while, a huge fish erged from the water, opening its gaping maw, with its terrifying rows of white teeth and dark body glistening under the moonlight like a small submarine. Luo Zheng and the others were alard and took aim with their guns.
"Pfft!" A jet of water shot up three ters high from the head of this huge fish.
Seeing this scene, everyone breathed a sigh of relief; it wasn't a shark, but a whale. Whales are not aggressive, and there would be no problems if they weren't provoked. Still careful, they continued to watch as the whale dived back into the ocean and swam away. Then a few more large dark fish erged, each spouting water and creating waves before gracefully sinking into the sea and quickly vanishing without a trace, creating an eerie sight under the moonlight.
"It's a good thing it's just whales. When a school of whales appears, it's possible that a school of sharks may follow. We can't let our guard down; everyone, retreat quickly." Lan Xue's face turned cold as she hurriedly reminded everyone, startling them into action as they all paddled backwards. One shark they could handle, but a school of sharks was terrifying even for the bravest of them.
"The ones in front, speed up! The school of sharks is coming," Luo Zheng saw those ahead slowing down and shouted loudly.
Everyone had been swimming for over half an hour and was severely depleted of energy, hardly able to paddle anymore. But when they heard the school of sharks was coming, they were so frightened that they paddled with renewed effort. The scene was impressive, but no one was in the mood to admire it. Luo Zheng kept a vigilant watch on the surroundings and suddenly saw sothing swimming towards them rapidly, much faster than the whales, which made him alard. He called out, "Xue Er, quick, look. Is it a shark?"
"It is." Lan Xue saw the rapidly approaching creature and her face paled. She exclaid, "Ghost Hand, Snow Leopard, Mountain Eagle, you three take responsibility for paddling, get to the island as soon as possible. The two of us will take care of shooting the sharks. We have to be quick."
"Yes!" Upon hearing that there really were sharks, Ghost Hand and the others panicked and frantically began to paddle. Luo Zheng and Lan Xue aid at the approaching sharks and quickly opened fire.
"Dada dada!" Bullets flew densely, shattering the night sky and the tourists' courage. When the tourists heard the gunfire, they imdiately thought of sharks and were terrified once again, unleashing their potential.
The strong bullets hit the approaching sharks, tearing off a chunk of flesh. Pained, the shark dived into the water and disappeared from sight. Luo Zheng and Lan Xue didn't dare to be careless and stared intently at the sea surface, fully prepared. Suddenly, Luo Zheng saw sothing else coming from another side; not knowing whether it was a shark or not, he quickly took aim and fired.
