The person who said the last line received glares and a beating from everyone else. Rod curiously stuck his head out to take a look, and was disappointed to find that the guy who claid to "warm his bed for a lifeti" was actually a rough-looking man.

To get rid of this terrible feeling, Rod hurriedly rushed down the stairs and entered the ritual hall.
But, when the ritual priest heard that Rod was about to undergo a Ninth Level Spiritual Power promotion, his face imdiately fell.

Rod complained, "What’s with all these issues? I’ve always been promoted directly before."
The ritual priest’s face turned green with anger, "You little brat, what did you say?"
"Do you even understand what a High Rank spiritual power promotion entails?"
"Is Ninth Level Spiritual Power the sa as your Level One or Two Spiritual Power?"
"You co barging in here so impulsively, and we haven’t even prepared the Sun Crystals!"
Rod sneered, "I have Sun Crystals. No need for you to worry."
The ritual priest glared at him, "Where did you get Sun Crystals? They’re the highest-grade controlled materials in the Royal City, it’s impossible for you to have any..."
Rod casually pulled out two Sun Crystals from the Dream Realm and thrust them in their faces.
"See clearly now?"
The intense Bright Light emitted from the Sun Crystals lit up the priests’ ashen faces.
This was the Fire Hall; his open display proved that his source was legitimate.
Suddenly, a priest recognized Rod’s face and exclaid, "It’s you!"

But the faces of the priests brightened up a lot all of a sudden.
They patiently explained to Rod all the details about applying for the Ninth Level Spiritual Power ritual, telling him it was best to have the sa person conduct the ritual for him.
And Miss Mina had always been the one to conduct Rod’s promotion ceremonies.
"Can she enter the Hall?" Rod asked with concern.
"Of course," the priest answered. "A powerful person’s exclusive spiritual power promotion officer is qualified to work in the Spiritual Power Laboratory of the Fire Hall."
"Right, go take the spiritual power test. We’ll urgently summon Researcher Mina."
Rod hesitated for a mont, but still asked, "Why has your attitude beco so nice all of a sudden..."
The priest smiled, "Of course the treatnt is different for a promising genius."
"After all, you’re our hope."
"The stronger you are, the more at ease we can live in this world."
An older priest said, "Little Rod, only by reading about your and those few miraculous deeds do I truly feel hopeful for victory—that one day, humanity will overco the Black Fog and see the light."
The priests all showed a look full of longing.
Rod knew they were imagining a day when every day was the Sun Festival, Bright Day.
To them, it was a mythic paradise, sothing they’d only seen briefly ntioned in ancient history records.
But in reality, they probably didn’t believe they would see such days.
However, that didn’t stop them from striving towards that direction.
Rod sighed softly in his heart and turned to leave.
In the Spiritual Power Laboratory, several high-rank researchers from the chanical Research Institute perford a thorough examination on him, providing a complete spiritual power report.

Despite his words, Rod complied willingly.
Just as Mina said, he took off his coat and lay on the ritual table in the form of a cross.
Mina busied herself with arranging the materials while constantly chattering away.
"Little Rod, you should write to your sister more often. The mont you leave, there’s no news from you, you don’t know how worried your sister gets."
