After the discussion with Veronica ended, Leon went out of her room.

Hands in his coat’s pocket, he walked calmly, like taking a daily stroll. Right beside him, Myra walked, maintaining her pace to match her master.

It was night, and when Leon looked to his right, he saw knights and guards patrolling the estate more than usual. It was natural; after the incident and the news about the Demon God’s vessel, every noble house that knew of it was on highest alert.

Though Leon knew that the Demon God would take several more years to recover after the recent attempt failed.

House Vallahail was the one who created that vessel for the Demon God, and there wouldn’t be anyone as exceptional as them who would be able to do it. Not in the next ten years.

According to Veronica, she had already destroyed Sebastian’s research and labs when she killed him. But even so, they were unsure if the research had leaked or not. Who knew who was with Sebastian when he planned it.

The jester from the marketplace was still missing, and no one knew who she was.

Leon replayed the scene of her magic performance on that stage, the way she talked, the way she moved, and the way she smiled every now and then.

She looked terrifyingly confident in what she did, now that Leon thought of it.

Suddenly, Leon thought of the Shinra Incident. At that ti, Lucian got his hands on that demonic sword. The Twilight Order had kept the sword sealed with them, but they were still unable to find out exactly how Lucian got his hands on it, that too inside the Human Continent.

Moreover, Leon proposed a possibility in front of them, that there might be so high-ranking official involved from Liora or maybe from a neighbouring kingdom who was helping the demons.

’Things are getting out of hand.’ Leon sighed just thinking about it.

It was possible that the sa person who helped Lucian get his hands on the sword was the sa one helping Sebastian Vallahail as well.

’If that’s true, then we need to find this person.’

This Tiara incident wasn’t supposed to happen, and it was not part of the storyline either. If so, then...

Before Leon could conclude the thought, a purple window flashed before his eye, making him halt in his step altogether.

"Young master?" Myra blinked after suddenly seeing him stop.

Seeing the transparent window, Leon smiled in relief.

’I was wondering why it wasn’t appearing yet.’

[Major Plot Change Detected]

[Calculating Reward...]

[Reward: 2 Fate Points Received]

Due to his involvent in the House Vallahail case and the ti when he killed the Demon God’s vessel, Leon was directly involved in this case, allowing the system to acknowledge it as a reward worthy.

Leon smirked and opened his status window. There he saw his total Fate Points.

[Fate Points: 4]

’Hoho... at least sothing good happened.’

It had been so many days since he got his hands on Fate Points. That alone brightened his mood today.

In any case, he closed the system window and answered Myra, "It’s nothing, just my glasses got so dust."

"Oh." Myra leaned a little toward his face. She looked at his glasses and offered, "Here, take them out. I will clean it up."

Leon looked at her pure face, her clear ruby red eyes, and glossy skin as she extended her little hands innocently.

He saw no point in rejecting her.

He took his glasses off and handed them to her. "Here."

Without the glasses, Leon couldn’t even distinguish the color of red eyes clearly. His eyesight had gotten that bad.

’This is really bad...’

If not for Veronica’s specs, he would have struggled even walking.

Leon needed a permanent solution for this. He couldn’t even think of what would happen if he lost the glasses soday.

That thought alone was troubleso.

"All done," Myra said, opening the glasses. She lifted herself on tiptoe and extended them to Leon’s face to wear.

Leon allowed her to help him. His vision cleared again, and he was able to see her ruby red eyes clearly.

"Hm, perfect."

After Leon and Myra walked toward the staircase, another maid appeared from the corner and bowed her head, "Master Leon, the Duke wants you in his office."

"Father?"

The maid nodded quickly. "Lady Ezra is present as well."

Her voice held a slight stiffness, like she had hurried here to find him.

Myra stiffened her shoulders when she heard that.

"I will prepare your bath," she said, then headed toward Leon’s room without another word.

Leon told the maid in front of him that he would be there soon, and she left just as quickly as she ca.

Leon stood at the staircase for a few seconds, thinking. He didn’t move imdiately. He just stared down at the flights below him, breathing out through his nose as he tried to predict what this sudden call was about.

After two minutes of quick thinking, he stepped down the stairs and headed straight toward the Duke’s office.

The office was located on the lower floor of the estate. The hallway leading to it had enough space for a large gathering to take place, and the guards stationed nearby stood with stiff backs like they knew sothing important was happening.

Leon slowed his steps when he saw the door to his father’s office already open.

It was a huge door, carved with the Valentine crest. From where he stood, he could hear his father and mother arguing inside.

"Look, I know it is sudden, but think of it as an opportunity, dear. How could you even say—"

"Ezra, I made it clear once. I would not and will never place any of my sons in front of the royal circle."

The atmosphere inside was tense. Their voices were sharper than usual, and the topic was clearly the royal circle.

Leon lifted an eyebrow. "..."

"What?" his mother replied irritably. "You didn’t say the sa thing when you put Veronica in front of the circle."

"Veronica is different." Orion cut her off imdiately.

Leon saw his mother’s face twist slightly in annoyance. She looked angry.

It wasn’t hard to guess what the discussion was about. Leon already had a clear idea of why they were arguing, and he didn’t want to stand at the door waiting while they wasted ti.

"Father, you called?" Leon announced his arrival.

"Hm?" Ezra turned her head and saw him. Duke Orion gestured for him to enter.

Leon stepped inside.

He gave the two of them a light glance. His mother and father were seated facing each other on a couch, and between them lay a table with a scroll carrying the royal emblem.

That alone confird everything.

Leon turned his attention toward Orion.

"Did the king want to et ?" He didn’t bother hiding that he already understood the situation.

Orion didn’t react. He simply sighed. "Take your seat first. We need to discuss so serious topics."

Leon sat on the sofa at the side, facing both his father and mother.

Ezra’s face held an intense amount of pride, almost overflowing, clearly visible on her fave. On the opposite side, Orion had a look of trouble and deep reluctance.

"Leon dear, why didn’t you tell us about your Light affinity earlier?" Ezra asked him sweetly, her voice shifting into that tone she used whenever she tried to pry information out of anyone.

It made Leon shiver in annoyance.

’Sweet? Who? ? Her attitude changed again.’

Leon answered since Orion didn’t stop her. "It has been a month already, Mother."

"Oh? Then—"

Leon interrupted, "I simply did not say it because I didn’t think it was the right thing to do."

Ezra blinked at his vague answer, clearly displeased by it.

"What does that even an? With that talent of yours, I could have helped—"

"It is fine. I do not need help either way."

Leon had no interest in wasting ti on a pointless argunt with his mother. He saw her eyes twitch at his tone, but he didn’t care. There was sothing even more important he wanted to discuss here, and that mattered more than her mood.

"Father, what did the king say?"

Ezra’s eyes twitched at his sudden attitude. She wondered for a mont if Alice was influencing her son’s mind.

Duke Orion nodded and said, "He has called an urgent gathering of all ministers, and I was summoned as well."

Leon leaned back slightly.

"And the topic of discussion was Tiara, I assu?" As he said that, he saw his father grit his teeth harder.

Orion replied, "No. It was you they were discussing."

That surprised Leon.

Sure his light affinity was not sothing to take lightly, but after a nationwide incident, focusing on him made no sense.

"When was the council gathering?" Leon asked.

Orion answered, "Tonight."
