As his words dawned on , I suddenly felt my throat tighten. Just then, my arms twisted at odd angles, and I felt sothing form in my chest in place of my heart. It was similar to a fragnt, except it didn’t contain any trace of energy.

Instead, it was just there to shackle . Despite all my efforts, I wasn’t able to break out. In fact, I couldn’t even reach Morr, as the connection between the two of us felt incredibly weak.

And the connection only grew fainter as the Divine Beast approached .

"Talk, talk, retreat. That’s all humans like you do. You’re inherently naive, and despite so many lessons... and even centuries passing, you all make the sa mistake of thinking everyone’s your equal."

He narrowed his eyes.

"You’re foolish."

The mont he said that, I felt my consciousness slipping away, but just barely holding on due to the faint trace of energy I had in my body. There was no pain... if anything, it felt rather warm and comforting, almost like a mother’s embrace.

Whatever he was doing simulated so kind of strange sensation that made want to simply go on and give up. I knew if I did, then I’d either be killed or lose myself permanently.

After coming this far, and having soone I cared about dearly fighting against an opponent she couldn’t defeat... I knew that giving up here and letting this bastard take over my mind was not an option.

I decided to do sothing reckless.

As my consciousness was fading, and that fragnt kept zapping away my energy, I suddenly raised my katana. The Divine Beast spotted it right away and snapped its fingers. The katana shattered into thin fragnts, all of which were forcefully pushed straight into my body.

One of those fragnts sliced my eyes, and for a brief mont, the overwhelming, scorching pain overtook .

Yet that one mont of clarity was all I needed. Using that mont of adrenaline to my advantage, I summoned 100 Clorafite Weapons from my dinsional ring. Even though I hadn’t used them in ages, they were still incredibly useful. And now, I used them to propel myself forward, straight for the fragnt the Divine Beast had created.

But instead of the fragnt, I was t face to face with the Divine Beast, who extended his hand, trying to grab by the neck and clearly kill on the spot. But then again, what he probably didn’t expect was for to abruptly stop using my energy, allowing the surrounding space to influence my body.

My blood began to boil and my lungs expanded. The vacuum of space was overwhelming, but at the very least, in that fraction of a second that I wasn’t exposed to any form of energy, I felt truly free.

And of course, I used that freedom to blindly strike the Divine Beast across the face, pushing it back directly into the fragnt it had created.

My ears began ringing and I felt dizzy all over. Honestly, this might actually be the closest I had gotten to death without actually dying. But then again... I was way too close for comfort. Gradually, my healing kicked in, pushing the katana’s shards out of my eyes and restoring my vision.

To my genuine surprise, my strike not only landed cleanly, but the Divine Beast had actually been pierced by his own attack straight through his body. Even he seed surprised, and for a brief mont, the two of us just stared at each other.

But that was it.

That brief mont was enough for to realize that if he got out now, I’d be screwed.

So with that in mind, I covered my body in Telekinesis once more and flew away. Before he could escape from his fragnt, I conjured up the remainder of my energy and focused all of it into Telekinesis.

I didn’t know what I was doing, but I imagined myself ripping apart space itself. For a mont, all I felt was pain, as despite all my efforts and my energy being sufficient, the toll it took on my body was just way too much. I already knew it’d be like this, since even in the technique manual I had read, it was recomnded to have a much stronger constitution than mine.

But despite my bones shattering and turning to dust, my eyes bleeding and losing color, I managed to just barely tear open the space below . It was a very small tear, only the size of a small pebble.

Yet that small tear was all that I needed, as I willed a small flicker of Black Lightning through it, and before the tear could close, I teleported straight through it.

And in the next instant, as light once again hit my body, as well as the warm sunshine, the small tear in the center of the sky finally closed.

I was really high up, and the pain made it seem even higher. As I fell through the cloud, the sensation of thousands of needles piercing my body ensued. Despite using Atomic Stabilization, it wasn’t any better.

After all, every bone had broken in my body, and even though I had access to my energy and could regenerate, it was still abnormally slow. The fact that I could feel all that pain firsthand was also not very pleasant.

Though, it was strangely dull. I wasn’t really out of it like I used to be, since after the fragnt was removed, my mind was strangely clear. Though I guess... this lack of actual feeling had sothing to do with my high-leveled Pain Tolerance stat and maxed out ntal Resistance.

Still... staring at the ground below , which was covered in corpses and remnants of the pre-existing palace, I knew that if I were to fall, I’d splatter like an idiot.

But just then, I felt soone grab the back of my collar, stopping from falling further. Subtly glancing up, I realized that it was Morr, and for so reason, Morr was unusually quiet. Through our connection, I could feel a tinge of guilt.

Yet both of us knew that there was no ti for that, as, after all, in the distance, I spotted Clentine and Alexius still fighting. Both of them had serious injuries, but because of what I had just done in that realm, Alexius’s wasn’t healing anymore.

...I needed to quickly regenerate and restore my energy to help her.

But who could I...

Right.

Kevin, lina, and Isabelle.

I’ll have to borrow their energy.
