Jocelyn Morgan was writing a romance novel. As she wrote about the interactions between the male and female protagonists, she couldn’t help but think of Ian Shelby.
The monts she spent with him played out like fras from a movie in her mind, causing her to often lose focus.
Only 500 words in an hour; her efficiency was terribly low.
Eventually, she had to admit that she had a good impression of Ian Shelby, developing a certain fondness towards him, a feeling that made her heart race when she got close, sothing she had never experienced before.
Ian Shelby was a man of great erudition and talent, so exceptional that he seed to have his own halo.
Moreover, he had achieved brilliant results in the field of dicine and carried his own personal charm, fitting exactly into Jocelyn Morgan’s aesthetic.
There was admiration, and surely there was affection.
The whole day passed without Ian Shelby appearing in the ward, nor did he co to retrieve his computer.
Having handed over all the important information to her, he seed to trust her thoroughly.
"Jocelyn, doesn’t Dr. Shelby need to use this computer?" Jasmine asked, having finished her IV drip. She was walking around the room, "Isn’t this his personal computer?"
"It’s his personal one, and also for hospital use. He only has this one in his office," Jocelyn Morgan answered softly.
Her words caught Jasmine’s attention as she stopped and turned her gaze, "How do you know so much about this?"
"I used it the last ti I was hospitalized here."
"Hospitalized?" Jasmine was worried, "What happened to you? When were you hospitalized? How co I didn’t know?"
"Don’t worry, I just had a slight leg pain. It was fine after using his dication." This topic shouldn’t be pursued further; if Ian Shelby found out she helped soone catch an affair, her aunt would be upset.
"Oh." Jasmine believed her excuse and felt relieved, "As long as you’re okay. How much have you written? Is it enough for today’s update?"
"I wrote three days’ worth of drafts, but the battery is almost dead," Jocelyn Morgan closed the docunt and stood up, "I’ve set it up for automatic publishing on the website, so I’ll go return the computer to him now."
"Mm, go ahead, and be sure to thank him properly!" Jasmine reminded her.
Jocelyn Morgan took the computer and got up to leave. As soon as she stepped out of the ward, she ran into Vera Ford coming down the corridor.
The two girls exchanged glances; as they continued walking, Vera Ford was the first to stop, causing Jocelyn Morgan to stop as well, standing just under two ters from each other.
Vera Ford’s gaze fell on the computer in her hands; it was Ian’s, so why was it in her hands again?
Although she felt annoyed, Vera Ford still smiled, not wanting to lose her composure.
Seeing her, Jocelyn Morgan didn’t know what to say since they weren’t familiar.
"Dr. Ford," she greeted simply, then shifted her gaze and walked past her.
Listening to her footsteps fading away, Vera Ford looked at the door she had co out of.
Who exactly was hospitalized? Why was Jocelyn Morgan still in the hospital and even using Ian’s computer? Was this her usual trick?
Clenching her teeth yet softly smiling again, Vera Ford walked into the ward.
At this mont, Jasmine had just laid back on the bed. Seeing a young female doctor co in, she was slightly taken aback.
"Auntie, are you feeling better?" Vera Ford serenely completed her ward rounds, treating it as part of her job, and approached the bed, bending down to take her pulse.
"Much better," Jasmine replied with a smile, her gaze catching the na on her badge.
"Are you Dr. Vera Ford?" Jasmine’s chest tightened as she blurted out the question.
Was it such a surprise?
Lowering her gaze to et hers, Vera Ford nodded with a hint of confusion, "Yes." However, she was curious too, "How do you know ?"
"You’re Dr. Shelby’s girlfriend, aren’t you?" Jasmine stared at her, noticing she was quite pretty.
