"Finn, please, I beg you, stay with Cindy a little longer..." Claudia’s voice was tinged with sadness, fearing he might hang up, "Finn... after this month, lissa won’t bother you anymore, she might not even last a month..."

He stood by the living room window, held his phone, and thought about it. He couldn’t keep this from Hailey.
So, he dialed Hailey Hale’s number.
At this mont, Hailey was lying on her bed, staring at Finn’s poster with dreamy eyes, thinking his eyes were particularly beautiful.
The phone rang, she glanced down, and it was actually Finn!

Unexpectedly, he guessed right, and Hailey giggled foolishly, "Are you at the office or off work now?"
"Just got back." Finn sat down on the sofa, "There’s sothing I need to talk to you about."
"Go ahead."
"Not long after we left, lissa coughed up blood, and then she started to doubt her own health."
Upon hearing this, Hailey sat up sharply, her ears pricked up!
Finn continued, "She secretly went to the hospital by herself for a check-up, and now she knows about her illness."
"Oh my God!"
Hailey could hardly believe it, "Then she... must be feeling so hopeless, right?"
"Her ntal state is definitely not good," Finn told her, "I got a call from lissa’s mom. She hopes I can go back to Veridia tomorrow."
"Do you have ti?" Hailey said, "If you have ti, just go. Tell Justin about it, he’ll let you go!"
Hearing this, Finn felt a bit unhappy, "Aren’t you going to stop ?"
"Stop you?" Hailey found this word quite novel, "Why would I stop you?"

"Co on, don’t overthink." Hailey comforted him, "I won’t doubt your feelings for just because you go to accompany lissa."
"If you’re going, then we’ll go together." Finn said, "If you don’t go, then I won’t go either."
This left Hailey with no choice, "Fine, I’ll go with you."
"Mm-hmm."
Finn just didn’t want to create trouble for himself, didn’t want to affect his relationship.
After a brief chat, they said goodnight to each other.
Finn went to take a shower.
Hailey lay in bed tossing and turning, unable to sleep, feeling a bit anxious while holding the phone.
She couldn’t help but be envious of the ti lissa and Finn knew each other, envying their long companionship over the years, though it was just as friends.
