Damian also glanced at Bella Acker, then said, "Joy, you..." He had just spoken when Mrs. Sinclair suddenly stood on her toes and covered his mouth.
Damian frowned, but Mrs. Sinclair glared at him, forbidding him from speaking.
Joy smiled and said, "Give the ice and the towel." Saying this, she reached over to take them.
Bella Acker ca back to her senses and turned her head to look at her.
Joy’s smile blended innocence with a gentle deanor, lacking any aggression, which stirred a protective desire in those who saw it.
Joy tugged at the bag in Bella’s hand, seeing that she held it tightly without letting go, she looked at her in confusion.
Bella pursed her lips tightly, then looked up at Damian once more before finally releasing her grip on the bag.
"Thank you." Joy took the bag and said, "You should go take care of your boyfriend. Also, tell him not to be so rough and impulsive in the future. It’s quite rude to hit soone in public."
Senior Quinn was standing up for her; how could she remain unmoved while others spoke of him this way?
Bella’s expression cooled slightly, "Miss, don’t comnt on others without knowing the whole story. Also, he’s not my..."
She wanted to say he’s not my boyfriend, just a friend, but Joy interrupted her.
Joy said, "Even if there are misunderstandings, everyone can sit down and talk, right? Rushing to violence is always wrong."
Bella felt a rising anger, "Fine, even if you have a point. But it’s he who should be questioned, who are you to speak for him?"
"She’s my future daughter-in-law, Damian’s girlfriend!" Mrs. Sinclair suddenly said, "Bella Acker, what else do you want to know? You might as well ask directly."
"Mrs. Sinclair, do your words represent Damian’s intentions?" Bella gritted her teeth, unsure if it was out of spite or grievance, but she wanted an answer right now.
"Of course." Mrs. Sinclair seed to glance at Bella with disdain, "I am his mother, my intentions are his intentions. How? Does Ms. Acker intend to drive a wedge between us?"
That sentence accurately pierced Bella Acker’s sore spot. She avoided making things difficult for Damian by waiting, how could she drive a wedge between them?
The anger Bella had mustered deflated like a balloon burst by a needle.
She took a deep breath and said, "I never intended to co between you and Damian, I just..." Just liked Damian too much to let go.
"Alright, I’ll believe you for now." Mrs. Sinclair said with a cold face, "From now on, I hope you never appear in front of my son again. Damian, let’s go."
With that, Mrs. Sinclair wanted to pull Damian back to the car.
Damian looked at her, "You get in the car first, I have sothing to say to her."
"What do you want to say to her?" Mrs. Sinclair asked, "Do you want her, or this family?"
"Mom, don’t push ." Damian frowned irritably.
Mrs. Sinclair knew her son’s temperant well, understanding that he’s a filial person who values family ties, and she didn’t want to argue with her son in public, as it would be disgraceful.
After so thought, Mrs. Sinclair said, "We’ll wait for you in the car. Joy, let’s go."
