The steps rose into the clouds, like a road leading straight into the heavens.

There were still one hundred steps, the final stretch swallowed by the clouds, hiding whatever lay beyond.

Having climbed the steps twice before, Lin Moyu understood well that the trials of the third stage began with these hundred steps.

He walked past Lyle and said lightly, “My lips are sealed.”

Lyle snorted. “Thank you.”

Lin Moyu rely chuckled and continued forward.

At the foot of the steps, the void stretched endlessly on both sides.

Layer upon layer of clouds filled the void. It looked tranquil; nothing out of the ordinary.

He took the first step.

Light briefly flared beneath his foot. A ray shot out, drilling into his body.

His Bone Armor made no response. That ant the light contained no hostility.

Since awakening it, Bone Armor instinctively sensed danger with near-perfect accuracy.

It had only ever failed once or twice.

It was reliable, and its silence told him the light was harmless.

Even so, Lin Moyu stayed alert.

This was a trial. The light must serve a purpose.

But what?

He directed his soul force throughout his body, quickly locating the foreign light.

Ever since he gained the Poison Elental Immunity trait, his body had beco immaculate—anything foreign was treated as poison.

Combined with his vast soul force constantly monitoring every inch of him, nothing could hide inside him.

In a tiny, obscure corner of his body, he found the light: a small cluster glowing with a faint sacred aura.

It didn’t seem harmful at all, just floating there quietly.

Naturally, Bone Armor had ignored it.

Lin Moyu hesitated for a mont, then chose not to expel it.

Given this was part of the trial, forcefully removing it might affect what ca next.

Still, he didn’t let down his guard. He monitored it closely, ready to destroy it at the slightest sign of danger.

After a brief pause, he continued upward.

With each step, another ray of light entered him. The light cluster inside him grew steadily larger.

Outwardly, Lin Moyu remained calm. In truth, he was fully alert.

On the second-stage platform, Lyle watched him with a complicated expression.

All he could do now was hope Lin Moyu truly kept his word.

From within the clouds, the four Dragons descended. Ellie among them.

Gravis, the Green Dragon, spoke first, “Big Brother Lyle, did he pass?”

“He did.” Lyle replied.

They had witnessed the trial through the clouds, though they hadn’t heard the earlier conversation.

“He looked pretty relaxed.” Ellie comnted.

Lyle exhaled, “That human is anything but ordinary.”

Gravis muttered, “Why does everyone say that? He’s just a human. What’s so special about him? Don’t tell you went easy on him.”

“Nonsense.” Lyle snapped, “He has Lightning Elental Immunity.”

All four Dragons froze, eyes widening.

Ellie murmured, “No wonder… For a human like that to appear in this small world, it’s really unexpected.”

“Indeed.” Lyle said, “Humans are one of the great races, full of geniuses. But very few reach his level.”

Ellie’s tone deepened, “He might have a chance.”

The other Dragons looked at her.

She simply said, “Just a feeling.”

Lyle spat a spark of lightning, “I feel the sa. He might really have a chance.”

Gravis huffed, “If that’s true, then great. I’ll beat him properly later.”

Lyle glared, “Talk big all you want. More likely you’ll be the one getting beaten.”

“Impossible!” Gravis roared.

“We’ll see.”

Step by step, Lin Moyu ascended through the clouds and reached the top.

Another vast platform stretched out before him.

But beyond this platform was no longer void—it was a palace.

A colossal palace, towering over a thousand ters high, its true form obscured by layers of clouds.

“The Dragon King Palace?” He wondered.

Since the dungeon was called Dragon King Palace, could this palace itself be the Dragon King Palace?

He had only one step left to reach the platform, yet he stopped.

The light cluster within him had grown from a grain of rice to the size of a fist, a growth of dozens of tis.

It still looked harmless, but Lin Moyu didn’t believe it was useless.

If sothing would happen, it would be when he stepped onto the platform.

Lin Moyu’s expression hardened, “Two choices… what should I do?”

The first choice was to expel it now.

The second one was to let it erupt inside him.

Both carried risk.

The light cluster was like a ticking ti bomb.

Whether it would bring harm or benefit, he couldn’t tell.

If he expelled it, he might disrupt the trial and be judged a failure.

And if the trial failed, how would he complete the task Antares had given him?

After a brief mont of thought, Lin Moyu made his decision: he would let the light cluster remain.

His vast soul force had already firmly locked onto it. Even if sothing went wrong, he could react instantly.

Besides, he trusted in his skills and talents. Killing him wouldn’t be that easy.

With his mind settled, Lin Moyu stepped onto the platform.

The mont his foot touched it, the entire platform blazed to life, releasing a dazzling radiance.

A roar echoed in his ears, and to his surprise, within that sound he sensed light elental aura.

A torrent of light elent surged toward him. The light cluster within his body acted like a beacon, drawing the light elent in.

The Bone Armor still showed no reaction. The light elent flooding into him wasn’t harmful to him at all.

[Light elental resistance’s cap 1%.]

[Obtained soul force, EXP ]

Suddenly, a massive amount of notifications popped out.

His lightning elental resistance’s cap increased.

At the sa ti, massive amounts of light elent was being converted into soul force, pouring into him and rapidly increasing his EXP.

The conversion speed of the light elent was extrely fast, and with the light cluster inside him, it had a clear target.

The light elent that surged in washed over him like a raging tide, wave after wave.

His soul force climbed sharply, his EXP skyrocketing.

Mixed among the nonstop notifications were occasional ssages about the increase in the light elental resistance's cap.

His original light elental resistance had already reached 80%. And now, it was climbing higher.

Lin Moyu was startled at first, but soon understood.

This was also a trial.

For an ordinary class user, such a violent influx of light elent, rapidly converting into soul force, would be disastrous.

Their soul force would soar, but their soul itself wouldn’t be able to withstand the load.

At best, the soul would be damaged.

At worst, it would simply burst, scattering into dust.

But for him, this was nothing.

His soul capacity was enormous; already at the God-level.

Compared to the size of his capacity, his soul force was still far too small.

This torrent of soul force was like a nourishing elixir to him.

For normal class users, the soul’s growth matched their level.

A certain level ant a certain amount of soul force, like a cup filled with water.

The cup’s size determined its limit.

Each ti the cup grew a little, more water filled it.

Pour in too much and it overflowed. Seal the cup and keep pouring, and eventually it would crack and burst.

But his “cup” had long since beco a “barrel,” while the “water” inside was still only a cup’s worth.

Lin Moyu understood now: this trial was a blessing for so and a curse for others.

If you could withstand it, it was a gift.

If you couldn’t, it was ruin.

For him, it was an opportunity, one he wished would last longer. The more soul force, the better.

One man’s poison was another man’s nectar.

His EXP climbed rapidly, even faster than when clearing dungeons.

In less than a minute, it had increased by 50%.

His light elental resistance rose from 80% to 90%.

Only then did Lin Moyu notice the torrent of light elent beginning to weaken. The trial was nearing its end.

Half a minute later, a soft sound ca from within his body.

The light cluster detonated with a muffled pop.
